FOX MICHIANA / SBT2 Questions and Answers

Sinclair Broadcasting, the parent company of WSBT 22 acquired the FOX network affiliation from Quincy
Broadcasting, the parent company of WSJV. WSBT 22 is excited to be able to offer viewers in Michiana
two outstanding networks as well as First, Fast and Accurate news and weather from our award-winning
team on both WSBT and FOX Michiana.

When Will This Happen?

Beginning Monday, August 1st, SBT2 located on Digital 22.2, Comcast Cable 16 and Dish Network Channel
30 will become FOX Michiana.

What If My Cable/Satellite Company Doesnt Carry 22.2?

Since 22.2 will now be a FOX network affiliate, we are negotiating with providers who do not currently carry
22.2 to have them add the channel to their lineup. More information should be available soon form your
provider.

Is All of SBT2s Programming Gone?

Yes, all of SBT2s programming will be eliminated effective August 1 st. We are still in discussions with
syndicators of shows on both SBT2 and FOX and its possible we may be able to keep a few shows, but we
do not have specific information about that at this time.

What Happened to The First Alert Weather Channel?

A station has the capability to only broadcast so many digital channels, and, the bandwidth required to
transmit two network quality signals meant that only two of WSBTs three available channels could continue
to air. Unfortunately, in order to ensure the optimal viewing experience for our audience, we had to remove
not only SBT2, but also the First Alert Weather Channel from our lineup to accommodate FOX on 22.2.
You can still get up-to-the minute weather information throughout our newscasts on WSBT and on FOX
Michiana, on our website at WSBT.com and through our WSBT mobile app.

Where Can I See FOX Programming?

FOX Michiana can be found on Digital 22.2, Comcast Cable 16 and Dish Network Channel 30. For an
interim period, FOX Michiana will be simulcast over Digital 22.2 and Digital 28.1.

Who Will Be Doing The Newscasts Now?

WSBTs commitment to keep you informed First, Fast and Accurately is unwavering with WSBT 22 News
on FOX Michiana. All of WSBTs current newscasts will remain the same. Plus, the same teams that have
reported your local Michiana news for nearly 20 years will anchor WSBT 22 News on FOX. Bob
Montgomery, Leanne Tokars and Cari Peugeot will be live on FOX Michiana weekday mornings from 7 to
9AM. Rick Schutt will be live with a full hour of news at 10PM on FOX Michiana.
What About the South Bend Cubs Games?
Unfortunately, due to technical limitations at the present time, we are unable to continue broadcasting
South Bend Cubs games on 22.2 where FOX Michiana will now be seen. We hope to renew our
relationship with the South Bend Cubs next year.

What About Chicago Bears Pre-Season Games:

WSBT is pleased to be the home for Chicago Bears pre-season football and three of the four pre-season
games will air on FOX Michiana. The fourth one will air on WSBT. The dates for Bears pre-season games
are as follows:

Saturday, 8/27, 1:00p

What Happened To The FOX employees?

While WSBT does not comment on personnel matters, we can say that some staff from FOX28/WSJV-TV
were retained for positions at WSBT 22 and FOX Michiana.
