Ifmaintaininglowironconcentrationinthecausticsodasolutionisimportant,useaflangedsteelpipewitha
polypropylenelining.Becauseofthehazardouspropertiesofcausticsodasolution,unsupportedplasticpipeshouldnot
beused,andfiberglassreinforcedplastic(FRP)pipeshouldnotbeused.
Ifpossible,theentirepipingsystemshouldbefreedrainingtofacilitatemaintenance.Otherwise,cappeddrainvalves
shouldbeinstalledatthelowestpointinthesystem.
Allpipingsystemsshouldpreferablybecolorcodedandstenciledwith"CausticSoda"everytenfeet(3meters).
