This article explores the topic: the effect violent video game have on children.
The article suggests that children exposed to violent video games have become
numb to violence. The article also shows other negative consequences on child
development.
I do not think the article is bias because it is based on peer reviewed studies and
was written by the American Academy of Child Adolescent Psychiatry. The fact
the article was written in June 2015 leads me to believe that the information
presented in the article is up to date.
I used the article to support my research question: the effect gaming has on child
development. I also used the article to support my other sources: A Surprising
New Study on How Video Games Impact Children. and Effect of Video Games
on Child Development." I also used the article because it provided a good
opposing argument to the effect gaming has on child development.

This article investigates the negative and positive aspects of video gaming and
how it affects children. The article focuses on the negative, positive,
psychological, physical impact gaming can have on children. The article also
provides a good chart on how different games impact certain parts of the brain.
The source is Peer reviewed. Since the source came from a trusted University:
Vanderbilt Psychology Department, I can be assure that that the data is accurate.
The source is cited throughout the article. I do not think the article is bias
because it provides data obtained from peer reviewed journals and observation.
Furthermore, I do not think the journal is bias because it does not attack video
games and considers the points of both sides.
I used the article to support the article to support my thesis question in relation to
cognitive ability. I used the article because the article not only provides
information on the impact gaming can have psychologically on child
development, but physically as well. The article does a good job showing the
negative and positive impact games can have on child development. The article
also used examples of modern games as well. I referred to this article the most
throughout this paper.

This article explores and investigates how video games can help children
become more social. The article suggests that children who play social video
games have a more positive outlook of life. The article also suggested that
children who play social videos games are much happier than those who do not
play social video games. The article also looks at several experiments to confirm
their assessment.
The article is not peer reviewed but is from a trusted site: Parenting Science
The article does provide references to peer reviewed articles at the end of the
article. The article is a little bias because it does not consider the other side to
the argument. It mentions the other side of the argument once.

Dyslexia read better. The article provides good statistics on dyslexic children as
well. The research is based on a AVG training experiment where children played
action video games 12 hours a day for two months.
The source is trusted because it is peer reviewed and cited throughout the
article. The article is not bias because it considers other studies that disagreed
with it. The article was also written in 2013 and the information presented is up
to date.
I used the article to support the topic: The effect gaming has on cognitive ability.
I further used the article to support the articles: "Cognitive Benefits of Playing
Video Games." and "The Impacts of Video Games on Cognition (and How the
Government Can Guide the Industry)." The article also provided great support to
the research in the article: "Cognitive Benefits of Playing Video Games."

The source is peer reviewed. Since the source came from Sage Pub I can Trust
the source to reliable. I do not think the source is bias because it also looks at the
negative consequences of playing video games.

I used the article to show the how video games can impact the cognitive abilities
of children. The article was also used support the article: Effect of Video games
on Child Development. I also used the article because it good examples of how
video games can impact cognitive ability.

I can trust the article because it is peer reviewed and is cited throughout the
article. I do not think the article is bias it because it considers the negative impact
videos have on child development. I can further trust the article because a bulk
of its research came from the article: The Impacts of Video Games on Cognition
(and How the Government Can Guide the Industry)."

The article describes a use of simulation/gaming In English class for academic
class. The study analyzes the pros and cons of gaming in the class room. The
study also suggests how gaming/simulation would apply to other environments.
The source is peer reviewed. Since the source came from Sage Pub I can trust
the source to be reliable. I do not think the journal is bias because it provides
facts based on research gathered from students who participated in the
experiment
I used the article to provide an example how gaming/simulation can be used in a
classroom setting .The article does a good job showing how such a gaming
simulation can improve education in the classroom. I also used the article to
show how gaming/simulation can be used to improve writing and research
techniques of children.

The article reviews the article: Electronic Gaming and Psychosocial Adjustment
by Dr. Andrew K. Pryzbylski. The article was published in: The Official Journal of
the American Academy of Pediatrics. The published journal is based on an
experiment that consisted of 2436 male and 2463 female children, ranging from
the ages of 10 to 15 years.
The source is based on a peer reviewed article: Electronic Gaming and
Psychosocial Adjustment by Dr. Andrew K. Pryzbylski. I do not think the article

is bias because it is from Forbes and the article acknowledges the opposing side
of the argument.
I used the article to support my research question: regarding cognitive ability. The
article does a good job exploring the impact video games has on children in the
age range of 10 to 15. The article also does a really good job looking at both
sides of the argument. I referred to this article the most through this paper.

The articles investigate the impact violent games have on kids. The research and
information presented in the article is centered around a study done by Andrew
Prybylski on violence in video games. The article also suggests that violent
games can sometimes make teenagers aggressive and less emphatic to acts of
violence.
The article is not peer reviewed but is based on statistics from peer reviewed
articles. I can trust the information to be legitimate because it is from NPR. The
article is not bias because it considers both sides of the argument.
I used the article to support the topic how violence in video games can effect
child development. I also used the article to support the article "Video Games
and Children: Playing with Violence." The article also provides me with three
studies that I can use to find more information to support the topic of violence in
video games and children.

The article reviews fact that educational gaming can enhance education. The
article provides examples of a few educational games and how they can enhance
gaming. The research was collected from data obtained from research software
that can remotely record screen activity and audio while students played the
game. 42 college students participated in the experiment and were studied as
they played the games related to their coursework.
The source is peer reviewed. Since the source came from Sage Pub I can trust
the article to be reliable. I do not think the article is bias because the facts
presented are obtained from the college students that participated in the
experiment. Furthermore, I do not think the journal is bias because the authors of
the article used software to gather the research data.
