charactersareembossedandthentoppingfoilisappliedtothosecharacters.

Secure Encryption
SecureencryptionontheCEsystemmeansthatalldataenteredisconvertedintoasecureform
ofcodebyyoursoftwareapplicationbeforeitissenttothesystem.Theprinterdecryptsthecode
andsendsthedatatothemagneticstripeorsmartcardchiponthecard.
TheprintersupportsSSL(SecureSocketsLayer),AES128(AdvancedEncryptionStandard),and
3DES112(TripleDataEncryptionStandard)encryptionmethods.ThedefaultsettingisSSL.To
changethedefaultencryptionmethod,seeyoursystemadministratororcontactyourservice
provider.
Theprinterdoesnotacceptmagneticstripeorsmartcarddatathatisnotencrypted.Ifnon
encrypteddataissenttotheprinter,amessagedisplaysontheprintersLCDpanelandthecardis
rejected.
