TheCEInstantIssuanceSystemisusedtoproduceavarietyofcardsonsite,includingcreditand
debitcards.Personalizationoptionsincludeencodingmagneticstripedata,readingor

Bothconfigurationlabelsprovideinformationthatisusefulwhenrequestingservice.Theyalso
helpyouknowwhichcomponentsareinstalled.Ifcomponentsareinstalledbythedealerorsales

TheCEsystemisusedwithotherequipmentandsoftwaretocreateacardproductionsystem.
Thesystemproducescardsforaspecificpurpose,andthecardsmustmeetrequirements.
Thesystemcaninclude:
1. APCwithCardWizardInstantIssuanceSoftware.
TheCE870systemworkswithCardWizardInstantIssuanceSoftware,whichprocessesthe
carddataandobtainstheneededauthorizationfromthefinancialsystemthatmanages
customeraccounts.CardWizardlinkstotheinterfaceusedattheissuancesites.
2. Capturedevices,suchas:
AdigitalcameraconnectedtothePCtotakephotos.
Asignaturecapturepad,fingerprintreader,orPINpad.
3. Theprinterwithsuppliesandafacilitypowersource.

Thesystemthenprocessestheembossdata.Theembossfunctionisatwostepprocess.Firstthe
charactersareembossedandthentoppingfoilisappliedtothosecharacters.
Secure Encryption
SecureencryptionontheCEsystemmeansthatalldataenteredisconvertedintoasecureform
ofcodebyyoursoftwareapplicationbeforeitissenttothesystem.Theprinterdecryptsthecode
andsendsthedatatothemagneticstripeorsmartcardchiponthecard.
TheprintersupportsSSL(SecureSocketsLayer),AES128(AdvancedEncryptionStandard),and
3DES112(TripleDataEncryptionStandard)encryptionmethods.ThedefaultsettingisSSL.To
changethedefaultencryptionmethod,seeyoursystemadministratororcontactyourservice
provider.
Theprinterdoesnotacceptmagneticstripeorsmartcarddatathatisnotencrypted.Ifnon
encrypteddataissenttotheprinter,amessagedisplaysontheprintersLCDpanelandthecardis
rejected.
