entity.

For highest detail with SketchUp models, set the Edit Quality and Output
Quality settings to "high." These settings are in the Paper panel of the
Document Setup dialog box (File > Document Setup).
For finer lines, set the Line Weight setting to less than one point. The Line
Weight setting is in the Styles tab of the SketchUp Model dialog box (Window >
SketchUp Model).
The Scrapbook is great for storing all those little bits and pieces that you reuse
in your drawings, such as architectural symbols.
You can also store color palettes, standard text styles, and your favorite
SketchUp model styles in the Scrapbook. Use the Style Tool to sample these
items' properties and apply them to entities on the page.
Using any drawing tool, draw a closed shape on top of a SketchUp model or
image. This closed shape represents the portion of the entity that will be
shown.
Select both the closed shape and the entity, invoke the context menu, and
select "Create Clip Mask".
Select the "Start Presentation" menu item from the View menu to enter into
presentation mode.
Click the left mouse button (right arrow key) to display the next page. Click the
right mouse button (left arrow key) to display the previous page. Click and hold
the left mouse button to annotate on a page. Double-click on a model to orbit,
pan, or zoom while presenting your work.

To assign a scale to a model, select the model and open the SketchUp Model
dialog box (Window > SketchUp Model). Click on the "Ortho" button if you are
not in orthographic or paraline mode. Then, pick a standard scale from the
"Scale" drop-down list next to the Ortho button.
Use the Vector setting in the Rendering Mode drop-down list (Window >
SketchUp Model) for clear, scalable, line work. This mode is particularly useful
when printing line-intensive models on large paper sizes.
Note that vector mode is not suited for some of SketchUp's raster rendering
features such as fog, shadows, and some complex styles.
Use layers for the content that you want to share, lock, show, or hide. For
example, try putting your models, labels, text, and background all on different
layers and changing layer visibility.
Groups are entities that hold other entities. Use groups to combine several
entities into a single entity for easy manipulation (such as grouping a company
logo and text for reuse in several areas in your document).
Create a scene in SketchUp for each view you will need in your LayOut
document. This will preserve Styles as well.
Note that when scenes in the Styles tab (Window > SketchUp Model) are
prefaced by "Modified," they are no longer in sync with the original SketchUp
model since they have been modified in LayOut.
Need to create a curved label leader line? Select the Label tool, then move
your mouse cursor to the entity you want to label. Click and drag the mouse
button to pull out a curve control handle. Move the mouse to your desired text
location. Then, click and drag the mouse button to pull out a second curve
control handle. Release the mouse button and type to your heart's content.
When you fill a shape with a pattern, the pattern's origin will be the first point
you clicked when you created the shape.
While the pattern is still active in the Shape Style panel, every shape you draw
will share the same pattern origin point.
Use the Style tool to line up patterns on shapes that already exist. Click one to
sample it, then click the other to line up its pattern with the first.
