Creating a subtraction sentence within 10
o Each student will have a specific group of pictures for the problem, along
with the name of the object pictured
o Students will glue these pictures to the create a problem page
o Some pictures will be crossed out
o The student will fill in the subtraction sentence displayed in the pictures
o The student will fill in the explanation of the problem, using the numbers
as well as the name of the object they were assigned.
Pictures are chosen based on student interests
o Students will then share their problem with their table mates.
Feedback for Students
o Immediate feedback during packet by teachers or aids
o Formal feedback on created problem
