Hymns of Praise
VeRSe 1

All hail the power of Jesus' name!

Let angels prostrate fall, let angels prostrate fall;
bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him, crown him, crown him, crown him,
and crown him Lord of all.

i need Thee eVeRy hoUR

VeRSe 1

I need thee every hour, most gracious Lord;

no tender voice like thine can peace afford.

ReFRAin

VeRSe 2

I need thee, O I need thee;

every hour I need thee;
O bless me now, my Savior, I come to thee.

VeRSe 3

I need thee every hour; stay thou nearby;

temptations lose their power
when thou art nigh.
(Refrain)

Ye chosen seed of Israel's race,

ye ransomed from the fall,
ye ransomed from the fall,
hail him who saves you by his grace,
and crown him, crown him, crown him, crown him,
and crown him Lord of all.
Sinners, whose love can ne'er forget
the wormwood and the gall,
the wormwood and the gall,
go spread your trophies at his feet,
and crown him, crown him, crown him, crown him,
and crown him Lord of all.

VeRSe 4

Let every kindred, every tribe

on this terrestrial ball, on this terrestrial ball,
to him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him, crown him, crown him, crown him,
and crown him Lord of all.

VeRSe 2

VeRSe 3

I need thee every hour, in joy or pain;

come quickly and abide, or life is vain.
(Refrain)

VeRSe 4

VeRSe 5

I need thee every hour; teach me thy will;

and thy rich promises in me fulfill.
(Refrain)

VeRSe 6

I need thee every hour, most Holy One;

O make me thine indeed,
thou blessed Son.
(Refrain)

Crown him, ye martyrs of your God,

who from his altar call,
who from his altar call;
extol the Stem of Jesse's Rod,
and crown him, crown him, crown him, crown him,
and crown him Lord of all.
O that with yonder sacred throng
we at his feet may fall,
we at his feet may fall!
We'll join the everlasting song,
and crown him, crown him, crown him, crown him,
and crown him Lord of all.

Working While Black

Stats dont lie. As the data continues to show, wealth inequality between black and brown
communities and whites is acute and growing. As a member organization of Trinity United
Church of Christ, the Endeleo Institute is working to expand economic opportunity and we are
fully committed to addressing the racial wealth divide through our advocacy efforts in Washington
Heights. Leveraging partnerships with like-minded, neighboring community organizations is
critical to success.
Case in point: In working with 21st Ward Alderman Howard Brookins, Jr. and the Chatham Business
Association, Endeleo helped secure an African American general contractor (Ujamaa Construction)
for oversight of the Carter G. Woodson Regional Library Renovation Project. Construction work
is slated to begin in September.

2016 Churchwide Theme

and Scriptures
Theme: The Fruit of The Spirit:
Taste and See!

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT)

January Love

He answered, You shall love the Lord your God with

all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your
strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as
yourself. Luke 10:27 (NRSV)

February Joy

Nehemiah said, Go and enjoy good food and sweet

drinks. Send some to people who have none, because
today is a holy day to the Lord. Dont be sad, because the
joy of the Lord will make you strong. Nehemiah 8:10
(NCV)

March Peace

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called

children of God. Matthew 5:9 (NIV)

April Patience

Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall

strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Psalm 27:14 (NKJV)

May kindness

This is what the Lord of Heavens Armies says: Judge

fairly, and show mercy and kindness to one another. Do
not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and the poor.
And do not scheme against each other. Zechariah 7:9-10
(NLT)

June Goodness

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them

show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility
that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy
and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it
or deny the truth. James 3:13-14 (NIV)

July Faithfulness

Jesus said to the people who believed in him, You are

truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you
free. John 8:31-32 (NLT)

August Gentleness

By the humility and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to

youI, Paul, who am timid when face to face with
you, but bold toward you when away! I beg you that
when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect
to be toward some people who think that we live by the
standards of this world. For though we live in the world,
we do not wage war as the world does. 2 Corinthians
10:1-3 (NIV)

September Self Control

So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control.

Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come
to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. So you
must live as Gods obedient children. Dont slip back into
your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You
didnt know any better then. 1 Peter 1:13-14 (NLT)

october Forgive one Another

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and

slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be
kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Ephesians
4:31-32 (NLT)

november Service one Another

My brothers and sisters, God called you to be free, but

do not use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases
your sinful self. Serve each other with love.
Galatians 5:13 (NCV)

december Build Up one Another

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as

you are already doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NLT)
