Big Ideas/Unit Goals:
Students will review the active voice and the simple and compound verb tenses of the indicative mode.
Students will learn the grammatical structure, formation and use of the passive voice.
Students will be able to express complete sentences using the passive voice.
Students will identify the passive voice in a passage.
Students will be able to express themselves in written and oral form, using the passive voice.
Students will be able to debate using the passive voice.
Students will be able to use the passive voice to create a script to present the news.
Students will be able to produce a News Video.


Unit Summary:

In this unit, students will learn the grammatical structure, formation and use of the passive voice in the different simple and compound verb tenses from the
indicative mode while learning about cultural, customs and practices and the presentation of news. The lesson is designed to promote the use of the passive
voice orally and written. Students will be able to formulate simple open and closed questions, to debate, describe and present using the passive voice in the
indicative mode of the verb tenses. Students will be able to clearly define the difference between the active and the passive voice.
