Steps for enabling TLS v1.

0 in Web-Browsers

The bank has decided to discontinue the support of SSLv.3 (Secure Socket Layer) protocol
and replace it with the more secure TLS v.1 (Transport Layer Security) protocol w.e.f. 1
March 2016, for accessing its net banking services.

This measure is being implemented by your bank to ensure the highest levels of privacy and
confidentiality of the net banking user credentials and other critical data.
All net banking users who are u sing Windows XP3, Vista and above are advised to configure
their browser settings with TLS v1.0 as per the instructions detailed in this document. If you are
unable to access the net ban king services post 1

March 2016, the configuration of your

browser/desktop needs to be suitably modified.


Given below are browser specific steps to be enabled in order to access the I DBI net banking
post the cut-off date. Please note that Windows OS XP2 or below users will not be able to
access the net banking services unless the OS is upgraded with XP Service Pack 3 (SP3).

(For Windows XP with SP3, Windows7 and above)

Internet Explorer
In order to enable TLS 1.0 the desktop user will be required to open Internet Explorer
(IE) and follow the below step s:

Click on Tools in the top menu bar of the IE browser


Click on Internet Options
Click on the Advanced tab within the Internet Options window
Scroll down in the Advanced tab and select the TLS 1.0 checkbox
Click Apply in the Internet Options tab

Firefox
In order to enable TLS 1.0 the desktop user will be required to open Firefox
and follow the below steps:

Click on Tools in the top menu bar of the Firefox browser


Click on Options
Click on the Advanced icon within the Options window
Click on the Encryption tab
Select the TLS 1.0 checkbox
Click the OK button

Safari
In order to enable TLS 1.0 the desktop user will be required to open Internet Explorer
(IE) and follow the below step s:
1. Click on the gear icon on the right-hand side of the address bar in the Safari
browser
2. Click on Preferences
3. Click on the Advanced icon within the Advanced window
4. Click the Change Settings button
5. Click on the Advanced tab within the Internet Properties window
6. Scroll down in the Set tings section and select the TLS 1.0 checkbox
7. Click the OK button

Chrome
In order to enable TLS 1.0 the desktop user will be required to open Chrome and
follow the below steps:
1. Click on the wrench icon on the right-hand side of the address bar in the Chrome
browser
2. Click on Options
3. Click on Under the Hood
4. Click on the Change proxy settings button
5. Click on the Advanced tab icon within the Internet Properties window
6. Scroll down in the Set tings section and select the TLS 1.0 checkbox
7. Click the OK button

For the end-users having desktops with Windows XP Operating System nee d to ensure that
Service Pack 3 is installed.

OS version with the details of Service Pack installed will be displayed:
