Inquiry Questions Answered: How does being a Christian influence someones life?
Keywords: Christianity, Society, Today
Summary + Commentary: In this speech, Jim talks about how society is changing and
becoming further apart from a Christian society and how we can change it. I think he mainly
wanted to open our eyes. This speech helps the reader/listener understand how Christianity is in
danger and how it has been dwindling in numbers over the years in the US. I find this interesting
from a view point of me, a non-Christian.
Further Questions: How are things changing now that affects society, that hasnt been affected
hundreds of years ago?

Inquiry Questions Answered: How does being a Christian influence somes life?
Keywords: Christian, Health
Summary + Commentary: This article talks about how the religion is misleading and tells
people that all you need to be healthy is a strong Christian life. That if you believe in god that
you will be well. This is definitely an interesting article.
Further Questions: Why do some people ignore science over religion when it comes to health
more than other things like technology or chemistry?

Inquiry Questions Answered: How does being a Christian influence someones life?
Keywords: Christians, morality, god

Summary + Commentary: He talks about how people become confused with the purpose of the
religion and deem it as immoral due to the fact that radicals are evil and mislead people about
what the religion actually stands for. He goes on to talk about the existence of god and how it is
not that simple.
Further Questions: Why isnt the existence of god simple? Why does it have to be complicated,
it did not seem to be all that complicated thousands of years ago when we were less educated?

can prove that god doesnt exist through science
Further Questions: Can he show us through scientific methods?

Inquiry Questions Answered: How does being a Christian influence someones life?
Keywords: Current, Christian News, Scandal
Summary + Commentary: This article goes over how an Archbishop was ordered to destroy
evidence by the church. I am curious as to why major Christian churches and organizations feel
the need to hide or cover up scandals and such as they all go against the practice of their religion.
They very existence of some of the scandals contradict the very meaning of their religions
messages.
Further Questions: Why would they cover it up? Why do we find these kind of scandals in
places that are not supposed to condone this kind of behavior?

Reflection:
Of all of your sources, which 3 are you strongest?
Is Christianity Bad For your Health, Changing Values in a Changing Society, and Is It
Immoral to Believe in God
Why?
Because this article shows how being a Christian can directly affect your health and how you
live. These also help people understand what it is like to be a Christian and how they think.
How do they help you form what you have to say about your topic?
These article show how living in modern society is affected by this religion, how people live, and
how it affects their health. Every decision people make can determine how long they live and
what happens throughout their lives and the people they meet.
Look over the types of research you conducted. Which methods were most successful and
why? How are those methods appropriate for your topic?
I believe by looking at both sides it helps my topic, because you cannot create a full opinion of
something without first understand how both sides think on the topic. Annotating and making
connections throughout the text also helped quite a bit and helped me focus on the important
parts of the text. These methods are more than appropriate and help me sort out the large quantity
of information.
How were primary and secondary research similar and/or different for you
My primary materials and secondary materials gave me the right amount of information I
needed, it didnt really matter.
What was your process of research? Did you try anything new and how did that go?
I used keywords through google, and looked on relevant websites, newspaper publications with
reputations. I also used the libraries sources searching features. The uncc website was new for
me and was confusing at first, but I figured it out.
What would you do or change for future research opportunities?
I would set aside more time for research or request more available time for research. I would
possibly consider doing a wide range survey on campus and other areas for a variety of results.
