WhenusingthesameABScaseaslistedintherequirementssection,besuretocutthetwoscrewholesatthebottomofthecaseformoreroom.

Itshardtojudgewhatcouldbewrong.Keepinmindthatitonlydelivers400450mAatadecentspeed.Itmightnotbesufficientforyourhardware.
Iwouldstarttroubleshootingbycheckingthecurrentwithamultimeterwhiledrivingat16km/h.

Yep,bottledynamosareingenerallessefficient.Therearemorepowerfulbottledynamosbuttheyareas,orevenmoreexpensivethanadecenthub
dynamo.ItmightbeworthittoorderarimwhichincludesahubdynamolikeIdid.Goforthe3Watt(vs2.4W)versionifyoudecidetodoso.

attacheddevice.
Dependingonthebatterychemistry,youreallywantaconstantcurrenttochargeyourphone/gps/etc.Thebatteriesbetweenyourchargingcircuitandyour
devicetakecareofthat.Andofcoursetheresthebatterypowerwhenyourenotmoving.Finally,itsmuchbettertoruin$5or$6worthofAAnimhbatteries
thanyourIphonebattery.
Iamguessingyourcircuitprobablytakescareofcleaningthepower,itsjustnotconstantwiththestartsandstops.ofriding.

AllIcansayisthatIhaveused,andstillusethissetupwithoutproblemsonmyHTCDesire,andpreviouslyonmyHTCTouchHD(Blackstone).Inmyopinion,the
100visneverabletoreachtheUSBconnectorasitisregulatedbytheLM2940CT(eventhoughithasamaxinputof26V).FryingtheLM2940CTwillprobably
breaktheelectricalpathtopreventdamagetotheload.ThiscouldeasilybetestedandwillonlysetyoubackthecostofoneLM2940CT.
ThenewbuildthatImighttryonlyhasanadditionalboostcap.Iamnotinterestedinanadditionalbatteryinfrontofthebatteryalreadyinmyphone.

Thanksforthecircuitinfo.Ihavebuiltit,anditseemstowork,butunfortunatelyonlyforabout10seconds,andthenthephonestopscharging.Ivetrieditonanipodtouch
andHTCWildfireS.TestingwithamultimeterandIstillhave+5VontheUSBoutput,soitseemstobesomethingaboutthedevicesImcharging.Iveset2Voneachofthe
datapinstogettheipodtochargeassuggested.Wouldbeinterestedtohearifanyoneelsehascomeacrossthis.
