Quality beyond expectation

Products produced by Moyne-Roberts are subjected to rigorously
enforced quality procedures which themselves are audited by
independent notified bodies to ensure that the highest quality
standards are maintained, none more so than our range of fire
extinguisher head valves.
These valves are of robust construction and protected from corrosion by
a high specification finish to ensure long life. They also carry more
features than our competitors. All valves are equipped with a safety relief
device that will activate should the internal pressure in the unit reach a
level that is deemed excessive. Whether this is the result of external
exposure to high temperature or accidental over-pressurising, all users,
bystanders and service personnel alike are protected. Once activated, the
safety valve will relieve pressure in the unit keeping it well below the
cylinder test pressure thus preventing rupture and potential harm. Another
feature provides for the removal of pressure gauges without loss of
internal pressure. This enables accurate checking of the internal pressure
and simplifies pressure gauge replacement.

Corrosion Protection
Moyne Roberts fire extinguisher cylinders undergo comprehensive
pre-treatment and paint processes to ensure exceptional protection
from corrosion. The discharge valve is chromed brass. Other
components are manufactured from PVC, steel, ABS and nylon. All
cylinders are degreased and subjected to a phosphate pre-treatment
process. The phosphate coating is applied to provide the best
possible adhesion for the epoxy powder top coat.

such as automatic powder extiguishers and class D hand held extinguishers
HIGH PERFORMANCE BC POWDER
Model No. MP-9X is charged with a high performance BC powder based

on a potassium bicarbonate / calcium carbonate complex. This BC
powder is recommended for large Class B & C fire risk areas where a
superior fire fighting capability is required. In the hands of professionals
this portable extinguisher can achieve success comparable with much
larger mobile wheeled units. This extinguisher is also particularly effective
against fires involving L.N.G, alcohols, ketones and esters which are
considered more difficult for conventional fire fighting powders.

CLASS D UNITS
Class D units for metal fires are available in 12kg and 9kg, all include a
low velocity applicator and lance to inhibit splash back of molten metal.

This fire point stand ensures that fire equipment
is held in an easy-to-see location.
It holds up to 3 fire extinguishers and there is room on the
back board for information or fire signs, rotary bell or even

zintec-coated sheet steel base and fitted with a self-extinguishing
legend panel.
It conforms to the 850c hot-wire test as defined by ICEL. The ES light has
cable knockouts in the top and sides, complying with the requirements of
EN 60598-2-2:2012. The ES light is also suitable for incorporation in an
emergency lighting system complying with BS 5266-1:2011. The ES can be
fitted with legends complying with the Health and Safety signs directive of
1996 while for extensions a full range of BS 5499 legends remain available.
Available in a number of finishes. Switchable, maintained, non-maintained,
sustained and double sided versions are available.
8W BULKHEAD
The CS light is a general purpose, low cost emergency luminaire,

moulded in self-extinguishing polycarbonate, and fitted with a clear
Fresnel diffuser. The CS light is for use on escape routes.
It passes the 850c hot-wire test as defined by ICEL. The diffuser is
attached by captive screws and has a gasket to provide a seal to IP65.
Cable entries are provided in either end with a BESA entry in the base,
complying with EN 60598-2-2:2012 and making the CS light suitable for
use in an emergency light system complying with BS 5266-1:2011.
Switchable, maintained and non-maintained versions are available.
TWIN SPOT LIGHT

The TSE light provides cost-effective emergency lighting for large
open areas. Comprising a white, finished steel enclosure fitted with
twin tungsten halogen flood lights, the TSE is designed for use on
escape routes.
It passes the 850c hot-wire test as defined by the ICEL. Three
knockouts on the top and sides of the unit provide flexibility of cabling.
Complying with the requirements of EN 60598-2-2:2012 the TSE light is
suitable for incorporation into an emergency light system complying with
BS 5266-1:2011. The TSE light comes complete with lamps and
batteries. Non-maintained as standard but maintained and portable
versions are available.
