SCADA SOFTWARE INSTALL PROCEDURE

****YOU MUST BE AN ADMINISTRATOR ON YOUR LAPTOP****


*NOTE: If SCADA software is already installed on your laptop, locate your current Scada
install kits and set them aside, so your laptop can be returned to its normal configuration
after training. Rename your existing Database, Standard, and Templates folder e.g.
My_Database etc. Perform steps 1 thru 7, 11, & 12. If you want to use your Scada
Folders for training delete the installed defaults, Database, Standard, and Templates,
folders. Rename your existing Scada folders back to the defaults Database, Standard,
and Templates.
ON YOUR SURVALENT MEMORY STICK DOUBLE CLICK ON THE SCADA INSTALL KITS
FOLDER:
1. Double click on the ScadaServer_Setup.exe. Click Run, Next>, select I accept the
terms Next>, enter your Username and Organization, Next>, for Setup Type keep the
default Standard option, Next>, Install, for Configure Scada Server keep the default
selected Single Master option, Next>, Select the language, Next>, click the Adjust button,
Finish, and Finish.
2. Double click ScadaClient_Setup.exe. Click Run, Next>, select I accept the terms
Next>, enter your Username and Organization, Next>, for Setup Type keep the default
Standard option, Next>, Install, Next>, and Finish.
3. Double click Worldview_Setup.exe. Click Run, Next>, select I accept the terms Next>,
enter your Username and Organization, Next>, for Setup Type keep the default Standard
option, Next>, Install, Next>, and Finish (if WorldView Setup pops up replace HostA with
localhost, and delete the entry for HostB).
4. For SmartVU .Net Framework V4.0 is required. (Skip if already on your computer.) To
install from the memory stick double click on dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64 to install (it is
compatible with 32 bit Windows Operating systems). To download (free from Microsoft),
double click dotNetFx40_Full_setup, and follow the prompts. Double click on
SmartVU_Setup.exe. Click Run, Next>, select I accept the terms Next>, enter your
Username and Organization, Next>, for Setup Type keep the default Standard option,
Next>, Install, Next>, and Finish.
5. Double click standard128. The extraction will default to C:\Program
Files\Quindar\Worldview (for 64 bit laptops extract to Program Files (x86)).
6. Go Windows Exploring, and navigate to C:\Program Files ((x86) for 64 bit
computers)\Quindar\ScadaServer. Locate program CBUSetup, and double click on this
program. When a dialog box opens select install, and select yes to the question to
proceed. (If a warning pops up click This Program Installed Correctly).
7. In the same ScadaServer directory double click on ServerSetup, and in the HostA/LanA
field enter localhost. Select the Key field drop down (bottom right corner) and select USB.
8. When you receive the dongle (silver USB stick) plug it into one of your USB ports. Verify
licensing by going to your Start button, select All Programs, Scada Tools, and Register.
In the Information tab verify that Location is USB Key, and Days Left are 80, give or
take.
In the Features tab verify Command Sequencing, External Bells etc. are check marked.
In the Protocols tab, verify DNP3.0, Quin, etc., are check marked.
9. Find the newly placed Scada Manager icon on your desktop, and double click it. Click the
green triangle Start button. After a few seconds verify that SCADA is running as
MASTER.

10.Optional - copy & paste the IED Templates folder into the newly created C:\Program Files
((x86) for 64 bit computers)\Quindar\ScadaClient\Templates folder.
11.Optional - copy & paste the IED Control Panels folder into the newly created C:\Program
Files ((x86) for 64 bit computers)\Quindar\Worldview directory.
12.Optional - from the Survalent memory stick copy & paste the SCADA User Guides folder
into the newly created C:\Program Files ((x86) for 64 bit computers)\Quindar directory.
