Cameroonian Cement Market have seen it configuration
reshaped with the installation of the company DANGOTE
CEMENT in the country.
With a potential capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, the new
plant DANGOTE proposes to strengthen its African leadership
by rapid & efficient penetration of the Cameroonian market.
This document stands as a state of play, presenting the different
situation of the cement in Yaounde and its neighborhoods.)

Goals
The main objective that was assigned to us by the Direction is to
ensure the availability of DANGOTE CEMENT cement in Yaounde &
Neighborhoods.
This can be declined in three secondary objectives:
Objective 1: To facilitate the distribution of our cement in Yaounde.
Objective 2: Guarantee the competitiveness of the cement
DANGOTE
Objective 3: Connect any Potential customers of DANGOTE
CEMENT to our Distribution channel.

The market which we are responsible can be divided into
4 main areas:
- Yaound, the political capital of Cameroon and the
second largest city in the country,
- The South Cameroon,
- The East East Cameroon.

- Around 400 outlets for

SOUTH

Main informations on Distributors performance:
- 40 Distributors have been initially registered for Yaounde &
neighborhoods.
- Over this amount, only 60% are really working on the Market.
- The remaining Distributors have not launched their activity ( 16
Distributors)

Main informations on Price Distribution:
- In Yaounde, we are observing that many distributors are
making a retail price of around 4.850 FCFA
- In neighborhoods ( Ebolowa,Bertoua,etc.) the retail
price is around 4.900 - 5050 FCFA
