Since today was a holiday, there was only two RDs and myself here. We only
saw patients that needed to be seen today. We got a lot accomplished and saw
more pts than we had to. I worked with Caitlyn today and she checked over my
notes.

This week I am in charge of ICU3, mother baby care, 5E and 4N. I decide
which patients need to be seen and charted on. Rachel is looking over my notes this
week. While working with a pt with diabetes, I referred them to Reids outpatient
diabetes classes. The physician has to put in a refer for the classes, so I made sure
he was notified and the pt will be getting a call from the outpatient diabetes office.
This will help the patient learn more about diabetes and help control their diabetes.

the floors and see/chart on about 13-18 pts per day.

I worked with Rachel on ICU, mother baby care, 5E and 4N. I am in charge of
the floors and see/chart on about 13-18 pts per day. I got to sit in on a CU
presentation. A rep form Abbot Nutrition came and presented to the RDs about
adequate protein intake for obese patients and older adults. This was very
interesting and I really enjoyed learning more about nutrition and caring for
patients.

This morning I observed am RD give a presentation to children about grains.
Next week I am talking to them about fruits and vegetables. The presentation is to
about 50 2nd graders who come to Reid for breakfast before their summer program. I

Today I worked with Caitlyn. On Saturdays we have to do all of the floors. We
split up the floors and took as many patients as we could. I am giving a presentation
to kids on Friday about fruits and vegetables so I had some time to work on that
today as well.
