Thepardinegenet'sfurisyellowishgreywithroundblackspots,which
arebiggeronthehindlegsthanontheshoulders.Itsheadismore
reddish,andthemuzzlebrownish.Ithaswhitespotsundereacheyeand
belowthechin.Itsearsaregrey.Itstailhassixtosevennarrowwhite
andsixtosevenbroaderblackrings.Thetipofthetailisblack.[3]
Measurementsofadultmalesrangefrom410to553mm(16.1to
21.8in)inheadandbodywitha390to490cm(150to190in)longtail.
Adultfemalesrangefrom410to530mm(16to21in)inheadandbody
witha420to450cm(170to180in)longtail.[4]

Distributionandhabitat
PardinegenetsaredistributedfromSenegaleastwardstoGhana,where
theVoltaRiverispossiblyabarriertodispersal.Theyliveinrainforests,
galleryforests,moistwoodlands,butalsoinplantations.Theyalso
ventureintosuburbs.[1]
