Description

Test Data Management (TDM) is a centralised data management team for various QA team
(Functional QA, Regression QA, Production defect QA etc). The data requests are like Data Creation,
Datamine, Data Masking/Data Copy from Prod to QA or QA to QA (Integ to Acceptance), Backup and
Restore, Data Clone, Data extract from various system, Generating Reports etc.

2. Somerset Migration

Description
ING Business Leadership has decided to merge Small Market Plans hosted in Omni 5.2 with the mid
cap market to be hosted on Omni 5.5 platform to reduce the additional cost of hosting another
environment. The Small market plans known as Somerset because their entire business is located in
Somerset, NJ. With the initiation of Somerset Migration project, all the plan data and the participant
data will be migrated to Omni 5.5 system. This project involves the gap analysis of functionalities
supported in lower version of Omni 5.2, gap analysis of the difference in the way similar
functionalities are handled in two different versions on Omni.
Responsibilities
Doing the testing of the all functionalities supported on lower version of Omni 5.2 and higher
version on Omni 5.5.
Addressing the Queries rose during the QA process to Business Owners.
Handling regression testing for all the applications.
Designing the Test Scenarios and Test Plan for regression testing.
Conducting the domain and technical training to train the offshore team on various applications
and business process.
Meeting with Development Team and BSA Team to report all the issues on daily basis.

3. EASE Omni fund limit increase from 800 to 1200

Role: QA Tester (Single Resource)
Duration: Mar 2011 Aug 2011
Description
Initially EASE Omni had only 800 Fund Control (FC) limitations. But In production there were
plans that wish to add new funds but cannot because they would exceed this fund limit. SunGards
current limit is 1200. Omni EASE will increase the fund limit from 800 to 1200 per plan. Likewise, all
the Upstream and Downstream application which Omni EASE feed will also need to make the
necessary code changes/ recompiles/testing/performance testing and or regression testing to ensure
that they can support the new 1200 fund limit.
Here my responsibility was to do functional and regression testing on OLTP (Online Transaction
Process) and EWR (Extension Wide Report) databases.
Roles & Responsibilities
Created End to end functional/regression suite for all the above-mentioned applications.
Generating the Report and validating the same on Omni, OLTP and EWR Report Testing
Planning for all the QA activities for the project. Planning the tasks, assigning the tasks according
to the skill sets and priorities.
Setting up the Test data before the testing begins.
Creating the knowledge repositories for all the applications.
Acquiring knowledge on all the above-mentioned databases and various processes that runs
behind them.
Coordinating the functional effort from Onshore.
Updating the regression bed time-to-time based upon the new functionality enhancement.
Coordinating with the development team on all the issues.
Participating in the Client Status Calls.
Sending the Status reports to customer and various stakeholders on daily basis.
