    What are the Parts of Low Voltage Power & Control Cables:

    1. Conductor : Stranded copper (Cu) or Aluminium (Al)


    2. Insulation : Commonly thermoplastic (eg. PVC) or thermosetting (eg.
    EPR, XLPE) type materials.
    3. Inner Sheath / Bedding : Typically a thermoplastic (eg. PVC) or
    thermosetting (eg. CSP) compound.
    4. Armour : For mechanical protection of the conductor bundle. Steel
    wire armour or braid is typically used. Tinning or galvanising is used
    for rust prevention.
    5. Outer Sheath : Applied over the armour for overall mechanical,
    weather, chemical and electrical protection. Typically a thermoplastic
    (eg. PVC) or thermosetting(eg. CSP) compound,
