Foreword
Dear Students,
The GATE 2015 Exam is over and the GATE 2015 Results are out. The
GATE 2015 Score Card is also now available for download. GATE being
the entrance test for the M.Tech and M.E programs at the IITs, ISM Dhan
bad and the IISc Bangalore, it is imperative for students who have qualified
in the GATE 2015 exam to keep an eye on the Application Dates for the
said institutions to avoid missing any deadlines.
Since there is no common admission process for the M.Tech courses at
the IITs, ISM Dhanbad and the IISc Bangalore unlike the NITs through
CCMT 2015, candidates will need to apply individually to the IITs they
wish to avail admissions in.
The admissions are open to all the candidates who have qualified in
GATE. Since GATE 2014 was valid for two years, the admissions at the
IITs for the M.Tech programmes are open to candidates who have qualified
in GATE 2014 or 2015.
Selection Procedures are common and based on valid GATE scores fol
lowed by an interview generally. Some IITs or some departments at the
IITs also conduct a written test prior to the admissions. Candidates must
pass through the Interview or a written exam if applicable.

a CGPA/CPI of 8.00 and above are exempted from the
requirement of GATE qualification.

IIT Bombay M.Tech 2015 Selection Procedure: on the basis
of GATE 2015 / 2014 OR a written test and a personal

500 kb.
Note: Candidates awaiting their results or having pending

exams have to upload their latest/previous semester marks
sheet.

Candidates need to upload the following while applying:
l 3.5 x 4.5 photo (of type jpg/jpeg/png) with size less than
30 kb.
l Signature (of type jpg/jpeg/png) with size less than 10
kb.
How to fill the Application Form:

An applicant can submit only ONE application.
The Login ID is same as the GATE Registration Number
for candidates having a valid GATE Score
l For other candidates, the Log In should be done with the
assigned Login ID sent via email
l

Applicants must register to get a secret key. This secret

key is to be used as a password in order to log on to IIT
Bombay M.Tech. Admissions Homepage.

Candidates must register first and select birth category,
eligibility criterion, Qualifying percentage
l Only Eligible candidates will get the Registration box

Candidates who have Valid GATE Score in GATE 2014 &

2015:
l These candidates must fill their details as per their GATE
score card.
l Candidates must enter a valid Email ID to which the
secret key, login ID and other details for the application
form will be sent.
Candidates who do not have a valid GATE Score or are
IIT B.Tech Degree holders: They must enter their name and
Email ID to which the secret key, login id and all other details
related to their application will be sent

Submission of the IIT Bombay M.Tech 2015

Application:
Online Payment: Applicants do not need to submit the hard
copy of the Filled in Application for IIT Bombay M.Tech
2015. Candidates are however advised to take a printout and
keep the same for the record.
Payment by DD: Candidates need to send the printout of the
filled in IIT Bombay M.Tech 2015 Application along with
the DD in an envelope superscribed with Application for

IIT Delhi M.Tech 2015 Eligibility Criteria:

B.E./B.Tech/ M.Sc or equivalent with 75% marks or 8.5
CGPA on a 10-point scale
l Candidates must have a GATE 2014 score > = 300 or
qualifying score whichever is higher
l For SC/ST/ PH relaxation can be from 60% to 55%
(6.75 to 6.25) and GATE score requirement from 300 to
200
l Candidates with AMIE or Grad. IETE qualifications
may also be considered fon the basis of their AMIE/Grad

IIT Delhi M.Tech 2015 Application Procedure:

Candidates need to fill a separate application form for each
interdisciplinary M.Tech programme and can avail 4 choices
within the said department.
l Candidates must first register.
l Candidates must enter their email-id as the username
and a password (at least 6 characters).
l They must log in.
l Candidates must fill the form fields like name, fathers
name and mothers name without any special characters
l After the successful submission of the form, candidates
must note the unique application number allotted to the
form. Note down your application number for online
payment of application fees

Candidates whose results for the final year are awaited
must select the result status as Awaited in the
Education Information page
l Applicants are required to pay online using State Bank
Collect utility of State Bank of India.
l A print button is provided to save a pdf copy of the form.
Candidates are advised to use this to print and safe keep a
copy of their Application Form
l Candidates can also login again with their login
credentials and take a printout of the same form.

Application Status:
After IIT Delhi receives the amount from SBI, the status
of the form will be changed to Received. This may take a

Eligibility Criteria:
For M.Tech/M.E: Candidates must have passed any one

l Bachelors degree holders in Engineering/Technology or

the basis of GATE score, a written test and a personal

ISM Dhanbad M.Tech 2015 Eligibility Criteria:
All Applicants under all categories must have passed
a Bachelors degree in Engineering/ Technology or
equivalent from Institutes recognized by UGC/AICTE
