Female:

Yeah, hes running for Congress.

Male:

How are you? Whats your name?

Jack:

Hi Jack Bergman, nice to meet you.

Female:
Jack:

I have a couple issue questions for you.

Okay.

Female:

Do you mind?

Jack:

No.

Female:

Ive heard the privatization of social security and I just wanted to know
your thoughts on that issue.

Jack:

The short answer is in the long term yes, in the short term because
were going to have to figure out a different financial plan. Weve got
people that are such an age that if we start changing things. Theres
got to be a transition that we go to privatization.

Female:

Right. So, youre for it?

Jack:

Yes.

Female:

Down the line.

Jack:

It has to be a phased step because sometimes if you do something too

quickly you can do more harm than good. And but youre right.

Female:

Too rash of a decision.

Jack:

Yes.

Female:

And then Donald Trump. Donald Trump now that hes the candidate.

Jack:

Well, lets put it this way. I cant vote for the Democratic nominee.

Female:

Obviously.

Jack:

Because there is no trust. There is no. We know what were getting.

Now, if the Republicans and we are going to nominate Donald Trump. I
believe that this is an opportunity for the country and especially the
Republican party to figure out what it is going forward.

Female:

Which values.

Jack:

With the values. And we will shape that Presidency. And if we stand up
he. Hes a businessman who people stand up strongly against him. He
respects power.

Female:

Right.

Jack:

If you.

Female:

So, maybe he could be molded a little bit.

Jack:

I think hell listen to good people.

Female:

Right.

Jack:

Thats my thought.

Male:

Talk to you later, Jack.

Jack:

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Female:

So, I had some thoughts because he said some things about the judge
thats presiding over his Trump University case.

Jack:

Yeah.

Female:

Like about his Mexican heritage.

Jack:

I, you know, I came out of the Marine core. And there is no more.
Marines are one color. Were green. Were not male. Were not female.
Were not whatever. That to me is the, you know. I dont understand
why people do that.

Female:

So, how do we deal with a president whos going to be saying things

were not necessarily standing behind?

Male:

Im of Mexican heritage. And I was ready to jump all on board because I

wanted a Republican president. And then it just made me question
everything. Its kind of like.

Female:

Its continuing rhetoric.

Jack:

The challenge that we have unfortunately we cant focus on one issue.

And we know one thing for sure. We know there are far worse
outcomes that were not going to be able to manage because of who
she is, what shes gone through. And bottom line is. Can I assume you
guys are married?

Male:

Yes.

Jack:

You and your wife. I didnt want to say something in case.

Male:

Thats fine, thats fine.

Jack:

But if we the people and we the people are the ones who really will
drive the president.

Male:

I didnt like the way he [03:43].

Jack:

Thank you. Well, tell your friends and please go on August 2 nd and vote
because that makes the difference.

Male:

No, thats why were here, you know. We like to support. Good to meet
you.

Jack:

Good to meet you. Thanks for the questions. Hi.
