In1955,twobrothersinlaw,HarryWinoukerandBillRosenberg,brokeofftheirpartnership,
eachtobeginhisownchainofcoffeeanddoughnutshops.

HarryfoundedMisterDonutandBillfoundedDunkinDonuts.

Mr.Winouker'sbegansellingdoughnutsonthestreetsofBoston.Hisproductsweremetwith
greatdemandthathebegantodeliverhisdoughnutstoofficeworkersinBoston'sdowntown.
Eventually,MisterDonutbusinessthatbeganasanambulantstorebecamearetailstore,selling
morethan35kindsofdoughnuts,bakedgoodsandalsoaspecialblendofcoffeewhichwas
regardedbymanyastheworld'sbest.
TheMisterDonutbusinessbecamesopopularthatothersbegantocraveforapieceofMr.
Winouker'sidea.Toaddressthisdemand,Mr.Winoukerwentintofranchising,sellingfranchises
toentrepreneursprovidedthathisstandardsofQuality,Service,andCleanlinesswereupheld.As
aresult,MisterDonutbeganarapidexpansionthatresultedintheopeningof275storesinthe
UnitedStatesofAmericaandCanada.

In 1970, Minneapolisbased International Multifoods, one of the worlds largest and most
successful food companies, acquired Mister Donut and its franchising concept from Mr.
Winouker.ThisservedtoelevateMisterDonuttoevengreaterheights.

In 1983, Duskin Co. Ltd. of Japan took an unprecedented step by acquiring the sales and
trademarkrightsforAsiafromMisterDonutofAmerica.ThisgaveDuskincontrolandpavedthe
wayfortheintroductionofnewtastesaswellasthestreamliningofallMisterDonutstores,not
onlyinJapan,buteveninothercountriesintheAsiaPacific.Asaresult,MisterDonuthasgrown
toachainofmore1,100storesinJapanaloneclaimingthemainmarketshare,withDunkin
Donutsbowingoutofthemarketthreeyearsago.

Onthe31stofMarch1987,ElieG.SahebandassociatesacquiredtheMisterDonutTradeMark
rights for the United Kingdom and opened the first Mister Donut bakery and pilot shop in
Fulham,London.Mr.SahebwascreditedforintroducingtheAmericanDonutcultureinEurope,
andonMay2nd1988TheTradeMarksrightsfortheEuropeanmarketswereacquiredfollowed
on14thofOctober1995bytheMiddleEastregion.

On May 10,1995, the Ramcar Group of Companies, one of the largest multinationals in the
PhilippinesandthebiggestbatterymanufacturerinSoutheastAsia,acquiredthemasterfranchise
throughitssubsidiary,FoodFest,Inc.Ramcarintroducedanaggressivemanagementpolicyand
revitalized Mister DonutPhilippines in a bid to attain world class status. Mister Donut
Philippinesisoneofthefastestgrowingfastfoodchainswithover700outletswhichincludeits
innovativetieupswith7Eleven,ShellSelect,Petronandotherconveniencestores,petroleum
outletsandshippinglinesnationwide.

TodayMisterDonutisoneofthelargestdoughnutchainsintheworldandarespectedleaderin
thelicenseindustrywithover5500shops.Wehaveplansforextensiveexpansioninthefuture
withpotentialCountrylicenseeswhoareambitiousanddedicated.
