The Villages Chamula and Zincantan
Departure time for this tour is at 9:30 a.m. from Hotel Casa
Madero. First stop is San Juan Chamula, where you will visit
the Indian burial ground, the town center. At the main
church you will observe the
various rites that are
performed, which are a unique mix of Catholic and ancient
Maya practices. Then you will have 20 minutes to explore the
town . The tour continues with the town of Zincantan, where
you will visit an indigenous home to observe the unique
customs and handicrafts. The tour returns to San Cristobal
at approximately 2:00 p.m. It is absolutely forbidden to take
videos or photographs of indigenous people.

Can del Sumidero y Chiapa de Corzo

Montebello Lakes for approximately 2 hours. These beautiful
lakes are famous for their stunning colors. There is also a

Chamula a Caballo

Departure is at 6:00 a.m. from Palenque. First you will go to Valle

Escondido for breakfast. Then the tour continues to Shield Jaguar
where you will board a boat for a 50 minute tour of the
Usumacinta River to Yaxchilan. You will have 2 hours to visit
Yaxchilan before returning to Shield Jaguar to eat lunch. The tour
will continue to Bonampak , where you will have one hour to
explore the archaeological site. Return to Palenque at 7:30 p.m.

Horseback Riding Tour to Chamula
Departure is at 9:00 a.m. and/or 1:00 p.m. from Hostal Casa
Madero. You will horseback ride to San Juan Chamula through
the mountains. This takes approximately one and a half hours.
In San Juan Chamula you will have one hour to see the
indigenous town and people. The tour ends with the one and a
half hour horseback ride back to San Cristobal. Total length of
the trip: 4 hours.

BONAMPAK
Salida 6:00 am desde Palenque (Si conoce el
Hotel donde se hospedar favor de proporcionar
sus datos de lo contrario el punto de encuentro

Valle Escondido para el desayuno, el tour
continuar hacia Escudo Jaguar para abordar una
lancha y realizar un recorrido por el ro
Usumacinta que lo llevar a Yaxchiln. Duracin:
50 minutes aprox. Una vez en Yaxchiln, tendr
dos horas para visitarlo, regresar a Escudo
Jaguar y tendr un tiempo para comer. El paseo
continuar hacia Bonampak donde dispondr de
1 hora para conocer la zona arqueolgica.
