FOREWORD
Dear PG Engineering Aspirants,
GATE is the largest PG Engineering Entrance Exam of the country. It also happens to be the toughest. The pass percentage for GATE has been diminishing in spite of a growing interest by students to appear for it owing to the PSU
recruitment through GATE. Students who dont qualify in GATE have many other
options open to them to do their post-graduation.
Careers360 brings the many options that are open to all students of the
country irrespective of their resident status which is generally a criterion for
most state held entrance tests or admissions. This should help out students in
deciding if they wish to pursue their PG in Engineering in eminent universities
or institutes apart from the IITs and IISc Bangalore which happen to be through
GATE only.
We take a look at each of the PG Entrance Exams that are most commonly
preferred by the students with brief and important details for each one of them.
This book aims to be a concise handbook for the Top PG Entrance Exams in
the country so that students can know the other alternate options available to
them thus enabling them to apply and prepare for them
Wishing you all the best in your PG Entrance Exams and further studies!!
All the Best!

For the other PG Entrance Exams, the following Preparation Mantras will aid
in tackling the exams in a successful manner.
1. Time Management is of utmost importance. So schedule your time such that there
is scope for study and practice.
2. Check the Syllabus before starting your preparation. Prepare a chart topic wise that
keeps you tuned to the syllabus needed to be covered by you for the Entrance Exams
3. While preparing for each topic make handy notes to help during the last days prior
to the exams.
4. Once a topic is done, make sure that you have practiced on tests, exercises on the
same to know where you stand in terms of your preparation.
5. Make sure that the syllabus is completed 2 to 3 months in advance to concentrate
on practice.
6. It is seen that most of the entrance exams are now online so it becomes important
that you should have ample practice with online tests to know and adapt to the online
