Ummeed Pre-Process

1. Write a SOP in 200-250 words telling us "why you want to be a part of

Ummeed".
Ans - I born in a village where I used to walk 2 km daily for attending
school till 5th class, so I have an attitude to work for the students who are
currently struggling with the same situation and I personally understand
their situation, after that I completed my high school and higher secondary
education from a MP government school so I know the study level at govt.
school and what could be the advice can be provided to help these
students. I have participated in various events with ICDS (integrated child
development services) which works under ministry of women and child
development, India. This interest came to me because of my mother, she
works as a supervisor in ICDS.
Apart from this I always looks for the opportunity which make a difference,
As a part of UMMEED team, you'd be in demand in a challenging, flexible
and rewarding profession and some other opportunity I see as a
coordinator of UMMEED team : It will challenge me in ways few other careers will
It will teach me things I never knew about yourself
It will teach me the true value of things
And the best part is that I will be the person who changed someone's life
for the better.
2. Do a thorough background research about Janapav Kutti village (the
Utsaha venue) and come up with some ideas of social work that can be
carried out in that village - come up with feasible ideas; be crisp in your
description about the idea; also mention about the source of funds for
implementing such ideas.(Please dont Globe)
Ans - Janapav, the birth place of Bhagwan Parashuram, situated about 30
kms from the Indore city, is being developed as a pilgrim and tourist spot
by the government. The site located on a hillock have a discourse/yoga
centre, study centre, hostel, mess, lush green campus, access road with
street lights and overhead tank.
As this place is popular for picnics, parties, and trekking & MP Tourism has
developed this tourist site by constructing a fully motorable wide road.
There are lot of business opportunities available for villagers like as we
know this area is lush green surrounded with forest so there are possibility
for bamboo furniture business which can be originated with Janapav
Panchayat.
3. The students in the village study in government schools and manage to
get good knowledge and marks in boards. But after they are unable to
pursue further due to lack of funds, internet reach, awareness and
motivation. How do you propose to encourage students in the Janapav
kutti to pursue higher education? Write at least 2 methods with
implementation plan. (Your ideas should be implementable, please keep in
mind that budget is a very big constraint)

Ans 1.) We can introduce them about IGNOU, so they can pursue higher
education with this
2.) We can arrange some lecture for student motivation and guidance for
future.
4. List any 3 government initiatives that can be leveraged to improve the
state of education in the village. Please write only those which are
practical and can be implemented easily.
Ans 1.) Government can introduce a Navodalaya vidhyalay for Indore
district in Janapav village
2.) Government can announce Janapav village as Model (Adarsh) village
so growth will accelerate.
3.) We know that MP government operates Mahila evam bal vikas
Aanganvadi in every village, and under this they launch many schemes
so government can put a tracker to check whether every village is taking
the benefit of this or not.
5. How can you use Ummeeds work to attract more people at the time of
fest?
Ans If we will provide the information what UMMEED is doing people will
automatically show high interest towards this.
