Day 1: INTRODUCTION -CAPACITY BUILDING, SUSTAINABILITY AND RURAL

Day 2: CAPACITY BUILDING AND IMPLEMENTATION: ORGANIZATIONAL AND


SOCIAL
Content:
Capacity building for sustainable rural development involves anticipating change,
diversifying industries, value adding, redefining opportunities and challenges,
encouraging collaboration and developing organization and leadership. Thus the focus
will be on :
Ways to analyze the local economy
Consider current and future trends influencing the local economy
Exploring economic opportunities and challenges

Implementation strategies and evaluation

Day 3: CAPACITY BULIDING FOR MENTORS AND MENTEES -EMPOWERING THE


EDUCATIONAL RELATIONSHIP AND THE INDIVIDUAL
Content:
Definition of empowerment and identification of its features
The various contexts of empowerment and the educational environment
Self-empowerment and community empowerment
Empowering mentors and mentees
Mentoring Good Practice Principles
Development of entrepreneurial soft skills

Day 4: IDENTIFICATION OF NEEDS & OPPORTUNITIES ON SOCIAL LEVEL USER CENTERED DESIGN IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Content:
Many community strengths are not immediately obvious, and it takes some creativity
to discover what skills and abilities are available in the community, and how they
might be used. These include the skills and talents of individuals, the resources
available and offered by local associations/institutions, culture and heritage of the
community.
Among these skills, leadership is a key dimension of community strengthening as it
helps community members to set directions and priorities, to organize into groups,
and to put action on-the-ground to utilize all available resources.

Day 5: STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT FOR COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT,


EVALUATION AND FINAL RESULTS
Content:
Multiple stakeholders play a role in facilitating entrepreneurship in rural populations.
Among these, large and small firms, policymakers at national, regional and local levels,
formal and informal educational institutions are included. A series of actions and
approaches will be presented to facilitate commitment for the development of human
capital and critical talent in order to facilitate entrepreneurial initiatives.
Evaluation of Training :Assessment of learned knowledge through a self-report
questionnaire, Guided self-exploration of knowledge, skills and abilities

Competences to be acquired by the participant:


The primary aim of this training is:
a) to provide an overview for a systemic approach to capacity building in
entrepreneurship which will facilitate mentors to inspire and enable individuals
to start and to grow entrepreneurial ventures in the agricultural sector, and
b) to enhance the competences of young entrepreneurs, living in rural areas, to
take active participation in the development of their local communities and in
the change towards a more sustainable society.
Thus, the competences envisaged to be improved are:
- knowledge about capacity building and sustainability,
- competence to explore economic opportunities and challenges for local
development,
- mentoring good practice principles,
-user-centered design for entrepreneurship, taking into consideration trainees abilities,
task prerequisites, organizational and social context,
- knowledge on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial soft skills,
- proactivity and teamwork, in a cultural and linguistically different environment,
- acquisition and improvement of skills such as knowledge of foreign languages.

Monitoring and Mentoring of the participant before, during and after the
mobility period:
Before the mobility they will be in contact with the sending organization to explain
them the aim, objectives and content of the training course.
At the arrival, the trainees will have a meeting with the team of the training to express
their expectations in this training and explain them all the information about practical
arrangements and operational program of activities.
The group will be assigned to a referent of the team, who will be responsible to collect
feedbacks, requests, general information and specific issues.
During the training we will implement an ongoing monitoring to ensure the
implementation of the plan of training and recalibrate if necessary to meet the needs
of the participant.
Ways and means of the monitoring:

daily feedback focus

informal meetings between team members and trainees during the free time

Methodological inputs will be transmitted through:

Communicated by team members to the trainers

Work in groups where they will be analyzed and systematized experiences


experienced the discussion and the use of instruments related to written
communication (verbal, cards, final report).
The methodology includes: group work, individual interviews, and reports of the
internship.

Foreseen use of outcomes, evaluation:


The validation will be done in close collaboration with the trainers and team members,
with a non-formal methodology during the last day.
The participant will provide a final individual report about the experience.
The acquired competences will be certified with Europass Mobility and Mobility
certificate of attendance.
The results of the training will be used in the development of ELIST project, to define
the effectiveness of the modules implemented and to complete the general definition
of training needs and expectations of young entrepreneurs in rural areas.

By signing this document, the participant, the sending organisation and the
receiving organisation confirm that that they will implement the detailed
programme of the mobility period as described above.
