The rocket burns 15kg of fuel per second.
After 5 seconds an object within the rocket is launched horizontally out of the rocket.
By calculating the average acceleration, determine the vertical distance between the rocket and the object
when the object reaches its maximum height.

orbit around this planet must be travelling three times as fast as they would around Earth to maintain a

(a) Assuming the satellite is unpowered and is revolving anti-clockwise around the planet, label all

(c) If the satellite remained unpowered, sketch a graph of Ep vs. time for the satellite and explain the
shape of the graph.

The figure below shows an electron entering into an electric field provided by a pair of parallel plates with
a speed of 6x106 ms-1 . The electric field has deflected the electron downward by a distance of 0.375cm at
the point where it exits the electric field.
