CLIENT BACKGROUND
The client is a market-leading, global information Service Company focused on professionals in the legal,
business, tax, accounting, finance, audit, risk, compliance, and healthcare markets. It enables legal, tax, finance
and healthcare professionals to be more efficient and effective by providing information, software and services
that deliver vital insights, intelligent tools, and the guidance of subject matter experts.
The Client has annual revenues 2013 of 3.6 billion, employs approximately 18,000 people worldwide and
maintains operations across Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

BUSINESS CHALLENGES
The clients product is a web application used internally for managing representation records. The system is
designed to maintain information regarding business entities (Companies) for which the clients provides
representation services e.g. Contract Agency, Special State Agency, and Foreign Representation Service etc. The
application is used to handle the legal and general transaction between two entities or between entity and
customer. In the past few years the client and The Digital group collaborated together to enhance the product
and improved the SOP process to meet the customer and service teams growing demands and expectations in
handling the SOPs. The Digital group was engaged to create a test automation platform to test the
functionality of the clients products. During the testing process following challenges were observed

Large number of test cases/ scenarios for execution to ensure sufficient and effective QA for critical business processes
Large number of changes (fixes/enhancements) with each release of an application
Manual testing requires large number of testing staff, results in higher number of errors, provides less test coverage,
offers inconsistent results and is time-consuming
Quick time development of unattended execution of scripts and automatic reporting of execution status to intended
recipients
Maintaining compatibility across the environments, versions of browser and OS while updating the regression scripts /
keeping them up-to-date

SOLUTIONS
