We raise turkeys on pasture in groups of 6k so if they kept the number on how many
they stole wed have a hard time noticing
I guess it really bugs me because we donate an awful lot of food to the food pantry

4 elkhart triple homi
Officers remained on the scene Monday afternoon continuing their investigation into a triple
homicide in Elkhart.
Three men were found shot and killed on Strong Avenue at about 11 p.m. Sunday.
Elkhart County Prosecutor Curtis Hill said this was not a random act but rather a targeted attack.
From their investigation, officers said that two masked men broke into a house and began firing.
There were four kids and three other adults in the house who were not physically harmed.
But officers say they had a hard time getting the investigation going because of how many people
flooded the scene.
Hill said that until about 3 a.m. there were as many as 100 people on the street.
He said many were unruly and distracting, even breaking through the police line.
Two people ended up being arrested for interfering with a police investigation.
"It's imperative that when we have violent acts of this nature, that the police are allowed to do their
job, Elkhart County Prosecutor Curtis Hill said. It's imperative that we conduct an investigation to

examine witnesses, to locate information. The amount of time that was spent last night dealing with
this crowd is time that was taken away from determining who's responsible for these acts.
Eds story
It is an idea that Dave Pottinger and his wife had kicked around for a while: to turn the empty second
floor of a downtown building they own, built in the late 1800s, into a workspace for those with
creative minds.
A hundred years ago, it was a rooming house, also known then as a flop house, which it is now
called.
Pottinger feels it is a unique layout to promote the art community.
I am looking for people who are in the creative process, Pottinger said. As long as they are
interesting and have a creative interest in what they are doing, then we are interested in them.
It already has three tenants, including Joanne Csakany, a professional photographer who
specializes in weddings and babies.
There hasn't been anything that I am aware of like this, in this area, where a community of artists
can come together and work side by side inspiring one another, as well as just working, Cskany
said.
Jerry Peters works at Hedgehouse Furniture, a company that designs high-end furniture shipped
around the country.
"Its the location; its beautiful, Peters said. Its right in downtown Goshen, and so we are across the
street from a coffee shop. We've got restaurants within 30 seconds of here.
The city says the innovative project, is a win-win situation, a great way to make use of empty and
available space, on the second floor of a downtown building.
This is a great way to bring creative people to our downtown and also show new investment in
these second-floor spaces, which in many cases have been vacant for decades, said Community
Development Department Director Mark Brinson.
A third tenant in the building is a painter and jewelry maker. There is enough room in the facility for 6
more artistic.

/DTSB: These are the type of things we want to continue to do...interactive things...creative and
unique...stir up a little buzz in the neighborhood, Downtown South Bends Aaron Perri said. It wont
be in one particular park, youll see these types of things throughout the system.
