Section 2: DUES
* Annual KALGBTIC dues for members shall be established by action of the KALGBTIC
Board of Directors, hereinafter referred to as the Board
* The Board may authorize reduced dues or dues waivers for special categories of members, or
for extenuating circumstances (such as low membership), in accordance with policies and
procedures established by the Board.
Section 3: SEVERANCE OF MEMBERSHIP
* A member may be dropped from membership for conduct that tends to injure the division or to
affect adversely its reputation, or that is contrary to the Bylaws of KALGBTIC, KCA,
ALGBTIC, or ACA Code of Ethics.
* A member shall be dropped from the membership for the nonpayment of dues.
Regional Coalition shall serve as a means for the membership to gather information and
resources regarding LGBTQQIA interests and activities in the State. The goal of this committee
shall be to have at least one member from each of KCAs regional chapters and interest sections
(BSCA, CKCA, EKCA, 4th District, GRCA, MCCA, NKCA, OVCA, SCA, SCCA, UCCA,
WKCA, and JCCA).
Educational Resources shall serve as a clearinghouse of information and resources for the
division to be used by members of KCA in dealing with the LGBTQQIA population in this state.
This clearinghouse shall include bibliography, journals, websites, and a speakers bureau.
Section 4: DISSOLUTION
In the event of dissolution of the division, all interests, property, and funds are given to the KCA.
Section 5: LIABILITY
Through membership and participation in the division activities, members do acknowledge the
good intentions of the division and its officers and agents and do agree to hold harmless the
division and its officers and agents unless such actions are caused by the gross negligence or
willful misconduct of the division, its officers or agents.
