PRESENTATION
OSSA, founded in 1952, is a leading company in the underground construction sector specializing in three business
areas: Construction, Energy and Mining.
Both in underground excavations by traditional method (NATM), as well as in tunneling with TBM, and roadheader mining,
OSSA is a solid underground works partner for important industrial and construction groups internationally. At OSSA
we are highly commited to Quality, Health and safety, and Environment, and we invest in Research and Development
Projects at an international level. We promote a culture of respect and teamwork among our team.
OSSA has vast recent experience both in high speed railway tunnels with over 60 km of high speed rail tunneling projects
in the last five years, leading the Spanish market in this specialty, and also in underground power plants, having built
over fifteen underground plants with some of the largest underground caverns in the world. As a recent highlight, we are
participating in the design and construction of the Hong Kong to Shangai High Speed Rail Line.
Internationally OSSA has executed works in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brasil
and Nicaragua and is recently focusing its tendering activity in North America, Central America, Asia, Canada and Great Britain.

The Project is being carried out inside the facilities of the Andean Division (DAND) of CODELCO (Chile), located in the
high and central part of the Andes mountain range, in the 5th (Valparaso) Region, 50 km northeast of Santiago,
currently working the Ro Blanco (copper) mining deposits. The scope of this contract involves construction of the
underground works for the Transfer Project, the object of which is to ensure (and even increase) production at the mine
until 2022.
The works to be carried out mainly comprise the following:
