The sun was shining brightly when Amy jumped out of bed. Her father was taking
the family on a camping trip in a reserve park. It was their first trip to the park.
Amy quickly got ready. Aaron was still fast asleep. He could never wake up in the
morning. He looked at Amy sleepily and went back to bed!
Aaron! Wake up! Were going to be late! Amy said as she poked her brother.
Then she took her bag and ran downstairs. Her mother was already up and about
in the kitchen, making breakfast. She could smell the aroma of sausages and
fried eggs.
Mum, Im ready! Are we leaving soon? asked Amy. Yes, were going after
breakfast. Have you packed all your things? Amy nodded and quickly ate her
breakfast. Aaron came into the kitchen. He was yawning away. Eat up Aaron!
Were late. After this, go straight to the car. Ill clean up and we can go.
Ten minutes later, they were off to the park. Everyone was in high spirits
except Aaron. He slept during the journey while Amy looked out the window. They
passed by a beach and a fishing village. Amy even saw some cows grazing. Their
father was whistling happily as he drove. Amys mother was looking at the map of
the park.
Here we are, said Amys father as they passed a signboard that read
Taman Rimba Jaya. He drove through the big wooden gate and into the park.
There were a long line of cars driving into the park too. Amy let out a scream of
delight when they got out. Were finally here! As they took out their bags from the
boot, Amys father asked, Aaron, wheres your bag? All eyes were on Aaron as
he tried his best to smile and explain. They did not look too happy. Err. I left it
at home?
