LESSON PLAN

COURSE: IV Year B. Tech

CLASS: IV/I Sem.
FACULTY NAME: Y.Raghuram

BRANCH: Mechanical Engineering

YEAR: 2013-14
DESIGNATION: Asst. Professor

SUBJECT: Alternate sources of energy

PREREQUISITES:
Familiarity with concepts of Thermodynamics and the Heat transfer.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:

The objective of the course is to know the role and potential of non
renewable sources of energy and to get some data regarding the places where
these sources of

energy found in different parts of the world and to make the

student to gain more knowledge on non renewable sources of energy and finally
student will be in a position to do some research in the some projects which works
on the non renewable sources of energy which are eco friendly and prevent the

atmosphere from the pollution and would ultimately reduce the stress on the
todays consumption of renewable sources.
COURSE OUTCOMES:
Upon completion of this course, students should:

Student will be able to know the role and potential of different renewable
sources of energy and their availability in different parts of the world
Student will be able to use the knowledge in these subject and get some data
and information which is very much useful in designing of new projects on
non renewable sources of energy
Student will able to know how the earth is being polluted from the different
renewable sources of energy
Student will able to discover the new ways to prevent the environment from
the pollution
