World Vision celebrates 25 years in the country and just this year the International
Convention on the Rights of the Child reaches the same age. We consider it is a

Sin una familia no se puede vivir. Uno
se siente desajustado si no ve su familia
a su lado
You cannot live without a family.
Without a family by your side, you feel
like a misfit.
Luz is a girl who lives with her mother, grandmother and younger sister. She says that since she was little,
her mother has taught her to be responsible with the commitments of the house. So before going out to
play, she makes sure she has done her part of the housework.
What I most enjoyed the workshop was the practices, because we went out to take photos of nature. She
also learned that boys and girls have the right to a name and a nationality, to a home and a family.

Los nios tienen derecho a no ser
discriminados
Children have the right to
non-discrimination
Diego lives with her father, mother and two sisters, but we are almost four because mommy
is pregnant, he says. He can mention some of the rights of children with ease. Although he had
heard of them, he said he did not know about the right to non-discrimination.
Since he began the photography workshop, Diego takes his camera everywhere, mainly because
he enjoys doing portraits of people. Since I received it (the camera) I felt a passion for taking
photos. He now dreams of becoming a professional photographer.

For her, the workshop was fun. She learned to use the
camera and was able to meet new friends. She liked how
the teachers introduced the topics and taught her to take
pictures. She likes to capture nature as it reflects the peace
and beauty of the surroundings.
She would like that children of her community to have
access to a safe place for recreation, better schools and
health centers where they can go when they get sick.
