General Information
A £5 voucher will be provided for refreshment for all volunteers; this will be issued at
registration and will be redeemable at the Loft Lounge.

All Volunteers will be required to fill in a Health and Safety Form.

Bags and Coats may be stored in the City Centre South Car Park; however, access to
collect items will be between 18.00 and 18.30 only. Please do not leave any items
behind that you will require throughout the day.

10.00 Parade participants to start transferring to the Town Hall Assembly

11:00 All Parade Participants’ to be at the assembly outside Town Hall
11:30 Parade Participants start boarding Floats

Safety Information

There is a maximum of 10 participants per Float.

There is a maximum of 50 participants per Walking Group.

Alcohol can not be consumed on the Floats or within the Walking Groups.

There is no Smoking anywhere once the parade has commenced.

No Passengers may be carried in the drivers Cab at any point of the Parade.

No object(s) can be thrown from the Floats.

Bags may not be carried on the back of the floats however these can be stored in the
drivers cab.

One in four floats will carry ladders throughout the Parade in case emergency
evacuation of a float is required.

Once the Parade is moving, people on board the floats are not to disembark except in
the case of an emergency.

Please refrain from spitting during the Parade.

No leafleting is allowed during the Parade or on Victoria Square.

The general Parade layout will be one float followed by two groups of Walkers; this
will be repeated for each float.

Each Float will have 6 Wheel Marshalls of which the two centre Marshalls will carry
Collection Buckets.

Walking Groups between the floats will have two Marshalls.

There will be 4 stopping points on route to allow the Parade to reform in case it starts
to split into several groups – please see Parade Route Map for the locations of these
points.

Float Placements are at the desecration of the Parade Management.


All decisions are final and subject to change.

The Assembly Point is located at Victoria Square.

People will start boarding the floats at 11.30am ready for a 12.00 start time.

Anyone who has not signed the Health and Safety Form will need to sign this at the
registration desk – The position is displayed on the below map.

Afternoon Collection
Once the Parade is completed we would like twelve teams (listed below) to support us
by fundraising for the event. This will take the form of Collection Buckets and the
sale of the Pride Day Guide.

Please also note 10% of all money collected through sales of the Parade Day Guide
will be paid out to each volunteer as a thank you for your support.

Buckets will be issued at the meeting point (South City Centre Car Park).

Pride Day Guides will be issued at the Volunteer Stand.
