ASSUMPTIONS

The researchers assume that academic stress is significant and ineluctable. Students
experience academic stress as it is not an uncommon part of school life. It is perceived
as a challenge which encourage students to excel in the academic circle and prevent
themselves to settle in doing mediocre work.

Academic stress also serves as a motivational gear for students to improve their
academic performance. It helps our brain to focus and perform tasks in hand efficiently.
In addition, it raises alertness in an individual which enables a student to handle time
pressure in quizzes, exams and reports.

As part of students responsibilities, they attend classes, participate in recitation and


complete assigned works. These contributes to academic stress but it is taken as an
opportunity to improve their abilities and be ready to work in the professional field. It is
considered to be a practice in real life situations.

Furthermore, it is as a cognitive enhancer which boosts a persons memory, creativity,


concentration, and motivation. It brings out unique ideas and intensifies a students
passion. As it improves our mental capabilities, it results to a showcase of academic
prowess in terms of public speaking and reports.
