2015 Spring Career Fair Report

Introduction
The purpose of this report is to summarize student demographics for the 2015 PGSG Spring Career Fair.

Participating employers
Below (Table 1) is a list of 11 employers that participated in the career fair.

Total revenue - $4200 from employers
Employers were sent a follow up survey roughly about a week after the CF event was completed. The
goal of the survey was to gauge the quality of the Spring CF in order to see what went well and what
improvements could be implemented for future CFs. In addition, it was also to obtain availability dates
from employers to use as a basis for deciding future CF dates.
Table 2 listed below shows the survey results for each participant. Currently, we had two participants.

Participating students
For this career fair, an emphasis was put on advertising through various channels. Such as flyers
throughout campus, Facebook events, LinkedIn group announcements, myCCO, CCOs calendar, PGSG
senators mailing list, and methods through the Publicity committee.
We had approximately 343 students on record who participated in the career fair. Table 3 shows a
distribution of students per major. The majority of students who participated come from an engineering
background.

Conclusion
In light of the 2015 Spring CF, we felt that student participation this year went well compared to past
CFs. So the publicity team, in conjunction with other parties, performed very well. Employer recruitment
could be improved. Student development workshops went well and improved the overall quality of our
students. The logistics of the event went well.
