1. What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is an ancient health care tradition.
That has been practiced in India for at least 5000 years.
The word come from the Sanskrit term Ayur means life & Veda means Knowledge. Thus
AYURVEDA in totality means Science of life'.
It incorporates all aspects of life whether physical, psychological, spiritual or social.

3. What is Prakruti?
Prakruti means basic constituent of body.
According to Ayurveda, there are 7 body types: mono-type (Vata, Pitta or Kapha
predominant), Duel types (Vata-Pitta, Pitta- Kapha, or Kapha- Vata) & equal types (Vata,
Pitta & Kapha in equal proportion).
Everybody has a unique combination of these three dosha known as Prakruti of induvial.
Specific Pakruti has specific characteristic. With the help of characteristic we can diagnose
Prakruti of person.

4. What is Tridosha?
Tridosha includes Vata, Pitta & Kapha. They are functional unit of body.
Vata is produced from Air & Space. All types of movement occurs in the body are depends
upon Vata dosha.
Pitta is produced from Fire. All type of Metabolism in the body is depends upon Pitta.
Kapha dosha is produce from Earth & water. It is binding material of body.
Distortion of the equilibrium results into diseases.

5. What is health according Ayurveda?


Equilibrium of body, mind & soul is known health.

6. What is disease?
Disease is abnormal condition of body which causes pain. Disease occurs due to change in
equilibrium of body, mind & soul.

7. What is Nadi Pariksha?


It is Diagnostic Tool for understanding the Disease in the Human body. Every aspect of the
human organism, the Body, Mind etc. is understood during the Pulse Diagnosis.
8. What are methods of Ayrvedic treatment?
There are two methods of treatment in Ayurveda, Internal Medicine & Panchakarma.

9. What is Panchkarma?
Vamana (medically induced emesis), Virechana (medically induced laxative), Basti (medicated
enema), Nasya (administration of medicines through nose) and Raktmokshan (Blood letting).
These therapeutic procedures are collectively known as Panchkarma.

10. Which Medicines are included in Ayurveda?


Ayurvedic medicines contain not only herbs but also other substances like milk, ghee,
butter, honey, molasses, medicated oil, rock salts, minerals, process metals, ashes and selffermented alcohol.

11. Is there any harmful medicine in Ayurveda?

to that heavy metals are converted into nano particles which are easily absorb & eliminated
