OBJECTIVE
To secure a position in education which will utilize my Teach For America experience, my passions for
children and learning, and my drive to close the achievement gap.
TEACHING
EXPERIENCE
Creating and teaching long term, unit, and daily lesson plans to culturally and socio-economically
diverse students with differentiated learning needs.
Leading and participating in weekly school faculty meetings and monthly district meetings.
Collaborating with other math teachers in the district to share ideas and create assessments.
Increased the schools Algebra I state test scores by over 40% in the 2013-2014 school year.
Producing, directing, and fundraising for the schools first ever musical productions, Annie (2015) and
Beauty and the Beast (2016), and building the drama department from the ground up.

STATISTICS
EXPERIENCE
Helped students identify specific problems they were experiencing with their Statistics courses,
established procedures for addressing those problems, and provided useful, immediate feedback
concerning progress
Used tutoring methodology and interpersonal skills to demonstrate respect for the students, building
self-respect and self-confidence in the students served, while encouraging students to become
independent learners.
2011-2013
Worked with local elementary students teaching Math and ELA in under-funded schools.
Coalesced with teachers to assist in the individual learning needs of different students.
2009-2012
Used a computer-assisted telephone interviewing lab to conduct frequent regional and statewide
surveys on issues of importance to North Carolinians as well as other southern states.
Utilized quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate survey results and questions.
Applied quantitative methods to investigate important health issues using SAS, R, Excel, and JMP.
Engaged in a comprehensive program of coursework, field experiences, hands-on data collection and
analysis activities, and interactions with scientists in the fields of medicine and public health.
