Praying for Vocations

Praying for vocations is so
important in todays world. A
vocation is a gift. Our prayers
give those being called to the
priesthood or religious life the
courage and strength to say yes!
The harvest is abundant but the
laborers are few; so ask the
master of the harvest to send out
laborers for his harvest.
(Luke 10:2)
Please come and pray for
vocations the 1st Wednesday of
the month, September 7, 2016
8 am to 7pm in the Chapel
Benediction and Exposition of
the \Blessed Sacrament begins
@ 6pm. There is reading material
for prayer in the Chapel. Please
stop by and ask God to help
someone who is discerning, His
call is all that is needed.
Sponsored by the Catholic
Daughters Court #2596
of Our Lady of Fatima

Eucharistic
Adoration will be
suspended Monday
September 5, 2016 and
will resume Tuesday
September 6, 2016 at 7:00AM
Have a Happy and Safe Labor
Day.
Let us continue to pray
for rain wherever it is
needed. Also, lets give
thanks to God for the
much needed rain!

The biblical God is often defined as

being patient and merciful. What do
you see as the relationship between
patience and mercy?

WELCOME!
During August we welcomed six children into
Christs Church through water and the Holy Spirit.
Just as God gave these children the gift of life when
they were born, Baptism gave them the gift of Faith
and Eternal Life. The Parents and Godparents
represented the entire Church and served as the
instruments through which God gave each child
faith. Let us, the parishioners of St. John Neumann,
celebrate these childrens Baptism and encourage
the lifelong journey of faith this sacrament initiates.
Those baptized were:
Sophia Adel Benavidez
Ana Sofia Acosta
Anthony Leon Elizondo
Maria Sophia-Magdalena Rodriguez
Presley Rae Perez
Max Ryan Mendez

sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also
reap generously. Each person should do as he has
decided in his heart-not out of regret or out of necessity,
for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make
every grace overflow in you, so that in every way, always
having everything you need, you may excel in every good
work. -2Corinthians 9:6-8 (HCSB)

The Catholic Daughters (CDA) are

once again facilitating the Festival
Silent Auction and are seeking your
help on getting some quality items
to auction off on the day of the
festival, to be held on October 1,
2016. Your generosity is always appreciated, as the Silent
Auction is a major fundraising event at the festival. We
are asking for clean and unbroken items, excluding
clothing. Items may be brought to the Church Office and
should be labeled as Silent Auction. An estimate of
value will also greatly assist in the minimum pricing of
these items. You can contact Barbara Clark at 210-6544760 with any questions. Thank you and God bless you
for your continued support of our Festival.

DONATIONS NEEDED!

The Festival Committee is seeking donations of 12 oz.

canned sodas to sell on the day of the festival. History
has shown that name brand sodas sell best (i.e. Coke &
Pepsi products).
This would include Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite,
Dr Pepper, 7-UP, Fanta, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, etc.
Bottled Water is being donated from other sources.
Please bring your donations to the Church Office, no later
than September 21. As always, your generosity is most
appreciated, as we try to make this our most successful
and enjoyable festival yet.
