Excavation and Earthwork


Excavation in all kinds of soil (Manually/mechanically using
JCB / Poclain) dense, wet or dry ( such as sandy/clayey,yellow
murum / gravel or mixture of any kind ,including highly
weathered laterite, roots or masonry/RCC foundations if any
etc.) in loose & slushy condition other than hard rock, to
required level for foundations, trenches, rafts of
walls/columns,basements,plinthbeams, pile caps, footings etc.
from existing formation level / levelled ground, including
levelling, all leads and lifts,. The Rates shall be inclusive of all
Royalties, permissions from Local Statutory authorities and all
fees payable for carrying out the work. Rate to also include
bailing / pumping of water (wherever required) to keep the site
dry at all times during excavation works in case of excess
water well point dewatering need to be used, making
temporary stepping / sloping ,strutting, sectioning, trimming
dressing etc. complete as directed by the Project head. Mode
of measurement Before & After execution the joint
measurement has to be completed.

Concrete Works
All concrete should be ready mix concrete from approved
sources. Site mixing will not be allowed unless and otherwise
prior approval from the Engineer is obtained. including
cleaning, subgrade preparation & levelling including machine
mixing, tamping, curing, shuttering etc., complete at all depths
as instructed. Rate also includes bailing / pumping of water
(wherever required) to keep the site dry at all times during
Blinding works.

holes, repaires ,water for curing etc shall not be considered for
reconcillation.It shall be included in the item rate) Providing

conforming to specified grade (IS 456-2000) at the levels given
below using river sand with 20mm and down graded aggregate

vibrators curing and making the exposed surfaces rough by
hacking to receive the plaster wherever necessary etc.,
complete as per drawing and specifications of the following
items. While quoting for structural concrete work contractors
are particularly advised to study the relevant drawings carefully
before quoting. The cost shall include repairing if any, Filling
the tie rod holes with Non shrink grout etc. The successful
tenderer shall maintain laboratory at site as mentioned in ITP
in tender documents Design mix with trial cube strengths of 7
days & 28 days shall be got approved from consultants well in
advance before commencement of RCC works. The rates
shall include the cost of necessary admixtures approved by
Developer to get required workability & strength The column
beam junctions shall be with the grade of concrete as in
column up to a distance of depth of beam in all directions &
rate shall be inclusive of this. Concrete shall be Providing &
laying at all heights & all levels. No Height increase or Level
increase shall be provided. Shuttering required for construction
joints in raft/slab/beams etc. will not be paid seperately Rate is
inclusive of cleaning and providing & applying the approved
bonding agent to construction joints.
