PROGRAM TITLE: LCCI CERTIFICATE IN PRACTICAL ICT SKILLS

INTRODUCTION
The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) International Qualifications are
recognized worldwide by many regulatory bodies, Ministries of Education, Employers,
universities and other professional bodies as the leading provider of reputable
vocational and professional skills education.
LCCIs ranges of courses are designed to deliver the skills essential for success in the
current demanding commercial environment. It offers flexible programs with
examination at various levels thus enabling candidates to gain marketable skills and

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The Practical ICT Skills Level 3 qualification aims to equip candidates with the ability to
demonstrate competency in IT Applications. It develops their understanding and
practical ability across the key Level 3 areas of software applications in Word
Processing, Presentation Software, Spreadsheet, and Database and apply these in a
modern business context.

In the current business environment, ICT is a fundamental business skill. A

comprehensive understanding of modern uses of standard ICT functions to
communicate as well as to display, manipulate and store information is a pre-requisite
for any organization working in an international, globalized world.

SPM or GCE N Level or GCE O-Level with pass in English

LCCI Level 2 Certificate OR

SKM

Pass in English is a must

Those without formal qualifications but have related work experience, and

ASSESSMENT OBJECTIVES:
The assessments enable candidates to demonstrate their ability at Level 3 to:

Use competently the applications of Word Processing; Spreadsheets; Database

and Presentation Software and
apply these skills to produce accurate, business-like work.

Criteria of Award

Candidates must fulfill at least 75% course attendance requirements by AEB to

sit for examinations. The Board will supply a set of 4 assignments.
Candidates who qualify for full certification will have 2 (or more) successful
applications endorsed on their certificates.
A Unit Certificate is awarded to candidates who achieve at least a Pass grade in
any one of the four units; while a full Certificate is awarded to candidates who
achieve at least a Pass grade in a minimum of any two of the four units.
