INGLS
Adjetivos calificativos.
Adjetivos demostrativos.
Adjetivos posesivos.
Adjetivos indefinidos.
Adjetivos numerales.
Adjetivos interrogativos.
A. ADJETIVOS CALIFICATIVOS
coloca detrs.
(Nosotros no decimos "rojo coche" sino "coche rojo". Ellos dicen "red car". Sera
incorrecto decir "car red")
Ejemplos:
My blue shirt (Mi camisa azul).
Your beautiful girlfriend (Tu novia preciosa)
This wonderful house is yours (Esta casa maravillosa es tuya).
This lovely woman is my mother (Esta mujer encantadora es mi madre).
Our father is a clever man (Nuestro padre es un hombre inteligente).
B. ADJETIVOS DEMOSTRATIVOS

SINGULAR:
THIS:
THAT:
PLURAL:
THESE:
Estos, estas.
THOSE:
Esos, esas.
Aquellos, aquellas.
Ejemplos:
Those books are mine. This one belongs to my brother.
Aquellos libros son mos. Este pertenece a mi hermano.
That car comes from your house. Why is it? Is it yours?
Ese coche viene de tu casa. Por qu? Es tuyo?
These tables are red, but this chair and those desks are white.
mi.
tu.
su (de l).
su (de ella).
su (de ello).
nuestro, nuestra.
vuestro, vuestra.
su, sus (de ellos, de ellas).

Ejemplos:
My house is big.
Mi casa es grande.
Your dogs name is George.
El nombre de tu perro es George.
Her hair is blond and long.
Su cabello es rubio y largo.
Our car is very fast.
Nuestro coche es muy veloz.
D. ADJETIVOS INDEFINIDOS
nmero exacto desconocemos. Se trata de una cantidad indefinida.
As tenemos los siguientes adjetivos indefinidos:
SOME:
ANY:
MANY:
Mucho, mucha
Muchos, muchas.
(PARA COSAS QUE PUEDE CONTARSE "contables").
This town has got many churches.
Esta ciudad tiene muchas iglesias.
MUCH:
Mucho, mucha.
(PARA COSAS QUE NO PUEDEN CONTARSE "incontables").

ADJETIVO
ER
THAN
This car is big. Este coche es grande.
This car is bigger than this bike.
"TALL"
My brother is taller than yours.
"SMALL"
My cat is smaller than yours.
"LONG"
From my house to your house, there is a long way to go.
The way from my house to yours is longer than the way from my house to the church.
Ejemplos: PRETTY/PRETTIER
EASY/EASIER
Ejemplos:
BEAUTIFUL
This car is MORE beautiful THAN yours.
INTELLIGENT
My mother is more intelligent than her sister.
STUPID
Carol is more stupid than her friend.
Ejemplos:
This girl is less beautiful than your daughter.
Your grandmother is less thin than your mum.
This house is less dirty than the supermarket.
15
-Pg.19-
INGLS
B. SUPERLATIVO
Si se quiere expresar "LO MS". Ese grado extremo y superlativo del adjetivo
calificativo lo formamos as:
The fattest man in the world is your uncle.
The cleverest man in that time was Thomas Edison.
Se coloca: THE MOST delante del adjetivo.
In my opinion, you are the most intelligent woman.
You have done the most wonderful thing.
T has hecho la cosa ms maravillosa.
This is the least beautiful thing that you have ever done.
This chair is the least small one.
Esta es la silla menos pequea.
C.

"posesin".
POSEEDOR
APSTROFE

COSA POSEDA
Ejemplos:
The boys room. La habitacin del muchacho.
Dads book is that one. El libro de pap es aqul.
My boyfriends house is far from my house.
La frmula queda as:
POSEEDOR
APSTROFE

It is me (soy yo)
It is us (somos nosotros)

A. VERBO PRINCIPAL

I can : yo puedo.
You can: t puedes.
He can: l puede.
She can: ella puede.
It can: ello puede.
We can: nosotros podemos.
You can: vosotros podis.
They can: ellos pueden.
El pasado del verbo CAN es COULD.
El verbo CAN no tiene forma futura. Para expresar el futuro, usamos el verbo TO BE
ABLE TO cuyo significado es SER CAPAZ DE.
El otro verbo defectivo:
MUST
You MUST go to the school: T debes ir al colegio (Ests obligado a ir al colegio)
I must work: Yo debo trabajar (Tengo la obligacin de trabajar.)
That girl must be Helen . Aquella chica debe ser Helen.
28
-Pg.32-
U . D . 1 - E STUDIO
D. VERBO TO BE
El verbo TO BE tiene un doble significado en ingls. En ocasiones lo traducimos como
nuestros verbo SER y otras veces significa ESTAR.
vamos a conjugar a continuacin.
CONTRACCIONES
I am: yo soy/yo estoy
You are: t eres/t ests

INGLS
A. FORMA AFIRMATIVA
Al conjugarlo suprimimos TO:
I drink: Yo bebo (Nunca diramos I to drink. Esto es un error)
You drink: T bebes
He drinks: El bebe
She drinks : Ella bebe
It drinks : Ello bebe
Obsrvese la "s" aadida para la tercera persona del singular (he/she/it)
We drink: Nosotros bebemos
You drink: Vosotros bebis
They drink: Ellos beben
B. FORMA NEGATIVA

I have got: yo tengo
You have got: t tienes
He has got: l tiene

You have got: vosotros tenis
They have got: ellos tienen
I havent got
You havent got
He hasnt got
She hasnt got
It hasnt got
We havent got
You havent got
They havent got
auxiliar DO, como antes hemos sealado.
Ejemplo: I eat some meat: yo como carne.
I dont eat some meat: Yo no como carne.
I go to the classes on Monday: Yo voy a las clases los lunes.
I dont go to the classes on Monday: Yo no voy a las clases los lunes.
Forma negativa

He does not
She does not
It does not
We do not
You do not
They do not
I dont
You dont
He doesnt
She doesnt
It doesnt

C. FORMA INTERROGATIVA
TO BE o cualquier otro verbo.
Ejemplo:
You are my brother: T eres mi hermano.
Are you my brother?: Eres t mi hermano?
She is a lovely woman: Ella es una mujer encantadora.
Is she a lovely woman?: Es ella una mujer encantadora?

colocndolo al principio de la frase.
Ejemplo:
I study English at nine oclock: Yo estudio ingls a las nueve en punto.

A.Futuro Simple
FUTURO SIMPLE
FUTURO CONTINUO (tambin llamado FUTURO DE INTENCIN
FUTURO INMEDIATO)
No existe absoluta
certeza de que el hecho se produzca.
Next Sunday, I will go to the zoo with my nephew, Paul.

6.6. IMPERATIVO
antes del INFINITIVO SIN TO.
Ejemplos:
EAT!: Come.
DONT EAT!: No comas.
HURRY UP!: Date prisa.
DONT STUDY: No estudies.
STUDY HARD!: Estudia mucho.
DONT PLAY!: No juegues.
JUMP!: Salta.
WAKE UP EARLY TOMORROW!: Despirtate temprano maana

B. PHRASAL VERBS
SET DOWN significa dejar salir / establecer.
SET OFF significa "start", es decir: empezar.
PUT ASIDE significa "save money or save time", es decir: ahorrar dinero o ahorrar tiempo.
PUT UP significa "provide accommodation" , es decir: acomodar a alguien o buscarle
hospedaje".
PUT ON significa "get dressed" es decir: vestirse.

Charles works in a hospital. He is a doctor.
Mary is typing a letter. She is a secretary.
I have a car in the garage. It is a red car.
Teacher / Profesor/a
Child / Nio/a
Friend / Amigo/a
Teacher A male teacher, A female teacher / profesor, profesora
Baby
A baby girl, a baby boy / un beb nia, un beb nio
2.2. EL NMERO

ESTRUCTURAS MORFOLGICAS
It is a fast car. (adjetivo) / Es un coche rpido)
He drives very fast. (adverbio) / l conduce rpidamente)
This is a hard exercise. (adjetivo) / Es un ejercicio duro
He works hard. (adverbio) / l trabaja duro.

3.3. CLASIFICACIN
CLASES DE ADVERBIOS
DE MODO (adverbs of manner)
objeto:
He swims well (l nada bien)
He ran rapidly, slowly, ... (l corra rpidamente, lentamente, )
She spoke softly, loudly, aggressively. (Ella habl suavemente, alto, agresivamente.)
He plays the flute beautifully. (l toca la flauta maravillosamente.)
He ate the chocolate cake greedily.
nfasis:
He gently woke the sleeping woman. (Despert a la mujer que dorma suavemente.)
DE LUGAR (adverbs of place)

A little beyond (un poco ms lejos)
All through (de principio a final)
Apart from (por otra parte)
Close beside (junto a)
Down to (hasta)
Hard by (al lado mismo)
Out of (por, a causa de)

preposiciones.
In
on
up
away
round
about
over
by
Out
off
down
back
through
along
forward
across
The bus was full. We couldnt get on. (El autobs vena lleno. No pudimos subir)
When I touched him on the shoulder, he turned round.
Look out! Theres a car coming. (Ten cuidado!. Viene un coche)
I was nervous when the plane took off.
bring up (educar), put off (aplazar), find out (averiguar), carry out (llevar a cabo):
They carried out an important research.
(Llevaron a cabo una importante investigacin)
They have put off the match because of the rain. (Han aplazado el partido por la
lluvia)
Take your coat off / Take off your coat.
I cant find it out. (No puedo averiguarlo)
Please, switch it on. (Por favor, encindelo)
