Time
The end of the year is nearly upon us, the club is moving
in to election mode. The club data base is bit closer and
will possibly trial it for twelve months next to the current
system, the end benefit we well look for is the semi automotive function of the programme.
Round tuit
Another matter that needs attention is that when a person gets there club plate let the committee know the plate
number and date it was issued, we as a club are required
by law to keep a register of all plates, to just follow this
small reporting detail will help to keep the club compliant.
With the introduction of Snail mail we will from now send
out the newsletters on about the 20th of each month

Hi All,
WOW, what a great event Saturdays SPEED opening was! It was fantastic to see all the clubs and members come together to
exhibit their collections in the heart of Alburys CBD.
Despite the bit of rain, the atmosphere was buzzing with a very positive response received from our community participants
very much enjoyed the collection of bicycles, model planes, the glider and of course the variety of cars and motorcycles that
were historic, fast, sexy and LOUD!
A special mention and thankyou to John Schuurman, Antique Car Club Albury Wodonga and Paul Hare, Albury Wodonga Motorcycle & Enthusiasts Club, for arranging the convoy display. The line-up captured the evolution of transport brilliantly and it
was special to have these on display in Dean Street one particular shot captured from our Visit Albury Wodonga Team, transported us back in timeIf you missed out on Saturday, dont for get to check out the SPEED exhibition on show at MAMA until Sunday 6 November for the full Festival of Fast program visit www.mamalbury.com.au

Hi,
The September 2016 edition of Retroautos is now online. Theres plenty of reading, and it is all free.
Click on this link: http://issuu.com/retroautos
This issue features the Vauxhall collection of George Seymour. All of his cars are quite rare. His 1968
Viva GT is one of only 50 currently on the road anywhere in the world. We chat with General Motors
(GM) car design guru, Leo Pruneau, who developed the Viva GT.
Wayne Ryan talks about the restoration of his 1945 Holden pedal car and we celebrate the
50th anniversary of Mercurys Cougar.
In the photo feature, Once Upon A Time, we travel through parts of Canada and the USA in November
1960 checking out all the cool cars, including the GM Motorama in New York.
And we take a look at Dodges 1955 La Femme. It was an attempt to appeal to women car buyers.
RetroRacing gets us all misty-eyed, with never seen before photos of the demolition of the famed Liverpool Raceway in Sydney.
We know you will enjoy this edition of Retroautos. It is published with passion and with pride.
Thanks,
David
I checked this out and it is great, well worth looking at and full of all sorts of interesting
automobile articles . I am sure you will enjoy it and thanks to David Burrell for sharing it with us

An older, white haired man walked into a jewelry store one Friday evening with a beautiful young gal at his side.
He told the jeweler he was looking for a special ring for his girlfriend.
The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a $5,000 ring and showed it to him.
The old man said, "I don't think you understand, I want something very special."
At that Statement, the jeweler went to his special stock and brought another ring over.
"Here's a stunning ring at only $40,000," the jeweler said. The young lady's eyes sparkled and her whole body trembled with excitement.
The old man seeing this said, "We'll take it."
The jeweler asked how payment would be made and the old man stated, by check. "I know you need to make sure my check is good,
so I'll write it now and you can call the bank Monday to verify the funds and I'll pick the ring up Monday afternoon," he said.
Monday morning, a very teed-off jeweler phoned the old man. "There's no money in that account."
"I know," said the old man, "but can you imagine the weekend I had?"
Don't mess with Old People.
Everybody who has a dog calls him "Rover" or "Boy". I call my dog "Sex".
Now, Sex has been very embarrassing to me. When I went to get his license, I told the clerk I would like to have a license for Sex. He
said, "I'd like to have one too." Then I said, "But this is a dog." He said I didn't care what she looked like. Then I said, "You don't understand, I've had Sex since I was 9 year old." He said I must have been quite a kid.
When I got married and went on my honeymoon, I took the dog with me. I told the hotel clerk that I wanted a room for my wife and
me and a special room for Sex. He said that every room in the place was for sex. I said, "You don't understand, Sex keeps me awake at
night." The Clerk said, "Me too."
One day I entered Sex in a contest but before the competition began, the dog ran away. Another contestant asked me why I was just
standing there looking around. I told him I had planned to have Sex entered in the contest. He told me that I should have sold tickets.
"But you don't understand", I said, "I had hoped to have Sex on television." He called me a show-off.
When my wife and I separated, we went to court to file for custody of the dog. I said, "Your Honor, I had Sex before I got married."
The judge said, "Me too." Then I told him that after I was married, Sex had left me. He said, "Me too."
Last night Sex ran off again. I spent hours looking around town for him. A cop came over to me and asked, "What are you doing in this
alley at 4 in the morning?" I said, "I'm looking for Sex..."
My case comes up on Friday
