1 Introduction
Nemo Analyze is a powerful and versatile, cutting-edge analysis tool for performing
benchmarking, troubleshooting and statistical reporting based on drive test data. The
system scales from a standalone tool to an enterprise-level solution and incorporates an
innovative, low-maintenance database engine that has been designed and optimized
specifically for high-performance post-processing of drive test data. Nemo Analyze helps
you to streamline your processes by enabling you to automate the entire data processing
chain from a drive test to an open workbook with analysis results.
Nemo Analyze offers a comprehensive set of technology-specific Key Performance
Indicators for the latest wireless technologies and a wide range of data views that are
known to offer the best visualization of drive test data on the market - and yet it is highly
cost effective, easy to set up and use, and it scales to meet the needs of organizations of
any size.
Nemo Analyze offers support for all major wireless technologies, including TDMA, AMPS,
cdmaOne, GSM, HSCSD, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA+, HSPA dual carrier,
CDMA2000, TETRA, TETRAPOL, DVB-H, TD-SCDMA, WiMAX, and LTE. Nemo Analyze
supports the following network measurement tools: Nemo Outdoor, Nemo Invex, Nemo
Autonomous, Nemo Compact-i, Nemo Handy, TEMS Investigation, TEMS Pocket,
R&S ROMES, and EADS REMS TETRAPOL. Measurement data in CSV (CharacterSeparated Value) ASCII format is also supported.

2 Whats New in Nemo Analyze 6.40

This chapter lists new features and problem fixes in Nemo Analyze 6.40. Examples and
instructions for the most important new features are included.

2.1 Support for Nemo File Format 2.15

Nemo Analyze 6.40 is compatible with Nemo File Format 2.15 (Nemo Handy-A v1.50,
Nemo Outdoor v6.41) and all older versions. The following metrics have been added:

2.2 Ascom TEMS file format update

Newer files may work as well but have not been verified.

2.3 Support for integrated Google Earth (optional)

As part of Google Maps option, Nemo Analyze 6.4 supports integrated Google Earth data
visualisation. Route colouring, area binning, base station overlay, and event plotting is
supported.

2.4 Project Manager (Professional package)

Added new project manager feature, which allows focusing on a subset of measurements, BTS files,
folders, maps, reports and workbooks. When a project is activated, only items that belong to that project
are visible in Analyze. The feature is beneficial especially when there is thousands of files loaded to the
database.

2.5 Spreadsheet Report designer improvements

Spreadsheet report designer has been improved in many ways in v6.4. Most importantly, it
is now possible to modify the report template directly in MS Excel. New statistic table
module has been added as well for easy column format benchmarking of metrics.

2.6 New default MS Excel compatible report templates

Nemo Analyze 6.4 introduces collection of new default report templates created with the
Spreadsheet report designer. The report templates are fully compatible with MS Excel, and
the fully customizable for the end users.

2.8 Tooltip display of parameters on the map

With Nemo Analyze 6.4 parameters can be visualised on the map as tooltips. Values of
the selected parameters in the location are shown when mouse is hovered over the route.

2.9 Other additions

Added ability to export workbook images to Microsoft PowerPoint and Word

formats.
Added new spreadsheet (Excel) based data and voice benchmarking reports.
Added ability to enable or disable time synchronization separately for each
workbook. This is enabled by going to workbook properties and selecting option "Do
not synchronize other workbooks".
Added ability to estimate cell beam length in map to be estimated by tilt & height in
BTS file. This feature can be accessed through the "Cell" page of BTS layer
properties window.
Added ability to specify input and output folders for the entire event batch in event
scheduler.
Added ability to customize highlight colors for BTS cells on map. This can be done
through the "Highlight" page of BTS layer properties window

Added ability to display several different BTS cell parameters in map view. The
actual parameter that is displayed depends on the system and band information in
BTS file.
Added ability to create subfolders in the workspace view. When a subfolder is
created it copies all filters from the parent folder. After that the subfolder can be
configured independently of the parent.
Added ability to show separate color counts for each map layer. To do this, right
click a map color legend and select "Color Counts for Active Layer" from the menu.
Added ability to specify floating license server as textual host name - in earlier
versions only IP address was allowed.
Added ability to show route as symbols in Live Map view.
Added ability to select a default draw mode for map layers.
Added ability to display user-selectable parameters in map tooltip. To use this
feature go to the "Tooltip" page of the layer properties window.
Added a pop-up window that can be used to cancel loading of previous workspace
when Analyze is started.
Added text that displays statistics calculation method (time/distance/sample based)
in statistics window
Added support for pilot pollution for LTE.
Added ability to change transparency of OpenStreetMap and to view a black and
white version of Google Map.
Added new FTP autoload option that allows keeping the files on the FTP server.
Added new FTP autoload option that allows specifying multiple source folders on

Added ability to autoload NBL measurements on Analyze Server.

Changed KPI Workbench so scripts can be run for multiple files directly from KPI
workbench. Select measurements from the measurement list in workspace pane,
then right-click in KPI Workbench and choose "Run Script".
Updated LTE scanner RSRP-, RSRQ and RS CINR selected antenna port and
channel configurations.
Fixed hiding of default color route in MapInfo TAB export feature.
Fixed polygon area handling so polygons imported from MapX can also be used in
search folders.

3 Installation
3.1 First-time Installation

Installation must be run under Administrator account or other user account with
administrative privileges.

1. Install Nemo Analyze 6.40 by running the setup. Follow the instructions of the setup
wizard. Restart the computer after installation if required by the setup wizard.

3.2 Upgrade from Version 6.30

Installation must be run under Administrator account or other user account with
administrative privileges.

1. Uninstall previous version of Nemo Analyze from Control Panel Add or Remove
programs, NOT by running the Nemo Analyze 6.40 setup. Restart computer if required
by the setup wizard
2. Install Nemo Analyze 6.40 by running the setup. Follow the instructions of the setup
wizard. Restart the computer after installation if required by the setup wizard.

3.3 Update/Upgrade from Versions 6.10 or Older

Installation must be run under Administrator account or other user account with
administrative privileges.

Version 6.40 update can be performed on top of any older version, but the
existing database may have to be removed if updated from older than version
6.20.

1. Uninstall previous version of Nemo Analyze from Control Panel Add or Remove
programs, NOT by running the Nemo Analyze 6.40 setup. Restart computer if required
by the setup wizard
2. Install Nemo Analyze 6.40 by running the setup. Follow the instructions of the setup
wizard. Restart the computer after installation if required by the setup wizard.
3. Failed to connect to database error may appear when starting Nemo Analyze for the
first time after the installation. In this case, close Analyze.exe, and
AnalyzeSocketServer.exe processes from the Windows Task Manager, and run
C:\Nemo Tools\Nemo Analyze Datastore\remove database.bat.

4 Compatibility
Nemo Analyze 6.40 is compatible with Nemo log files up to file format v. 2.15 (Nemo
Handy-A v1.50, Nemo Outdoor v6.41), and all older file format versions.

Nemo Analyze 6.40 supports files from the following TEMS tools:

TEMS Investigation from version 14.5 and earlier

TEMS Investigation GSM 5.0 and later

TEMS Investigation WCDMA 3.0 and later

TEMS Pocket 12.4 and earlier

TEMS Automatic 8.3 and earlier

Nemo Analyze 6.40 is compatible with R&S ROMES 4.65 and earlier
