Employment Opportunity Clerical and Clinical Care Coordinator (Atikameksheng)

The Clerical and Clinical Care Coordinator is a multi-skilled healthcare worker who works independently to ensure the
other health professionals are enabled to provide good quality wellness care to our clients. The scope of this position is
focused on the administrative task of a primary health care setting with a focus on growing the clinical setting of this
position within an integrated-disciplinary team. This position is located in our First Nations Partner Site of
Atikameksheng Anishnawbek, Naughton, Ontario.
QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma, or GED

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred i.e. NUCE


o A college diploma in the field of a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) would be an asset.

A clear criminal reference check is a condition of employment;

Must possess a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle;

Experience in the use of personal computers, various word processing, spreadsheets.

Experience in the use of electronic health record would be a definite asset;

Excellent client services skills

Excellent attention to detail

Working knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering routine and special treatments to
clients within a primary health care setting

Working knowledge of basic infection control and safety precautions applicable for work in a clinic setting

Organizational skills enabling daily clinic preparation process

Ability to document and communicate pertinent information

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and clinic staff

Developed interpersonal skills and ability to promote team work;

Excellent organization skills.


Given the traditional practices of Aboriginal people, from time to time exposure to smoke from the burning of sacred
medicines such as tobacco, sweet grass, sage or cedar may occur.
