Application of Goals

This thematic unit is the continuation of unit four. Students focus on life style and health is related to each other, and
people started to focus on health wellness. Students continue to practice their Chinese skill through the three modes
of communication.

Enduring Understandings
1. Siheyuan is the traditional housing in Beijing
2. Smoking in China is still a major problem causes
people's concern.

Students are able to know the suggested vocabularies
on the topic of urban and rural communities, social
issues in current China.
Siheyuan and its history

Students will be able to...


develop the interpreting skills of reading, listening related
topic materials;
hold a debate/discussion on the topic of Siheyuan,
Chinese traditional medicine, etc.
