Inside Islam: Exposing and Reaching the World of Islam
Lake Mary, Fl32746, Charisma House
(201 pages, paperback)

The author narrates himself as someone who loves Christ; who loves and has a
passion for the lost and is sold out to share Christs love with them.
He anchors his thoughts on what God is doing to bring the lost to Himself while
vividly reminding Christians that the call of God to any believer is to go and make
disciples of all people/nations.
He begins to look at Islam from the reality of a spiritual realm thus Islam is a spirit.
This is a reality that most western scholars in all their research, writings, apologetics
and scholarship have failed to grasp. This spirit has always been here from the
beginning of time. It is this spirit that was manifest in the life of Cain of the Bible.
It can be seen in the Old Testament, disguising and manifesting itself in the worship
of Baal. This spirit is hateful, revengeful, blood thirsty and always opposing JehovahGod. Once explored from a biblical point of view, modern Islam is just another form
of manifestation of this spirit. Further still, the past of this religion is not exempted
for traces of violence, bloodshed, killing, division, militancy, intimidations are found
throughout its history.
In giving this historical background of Islam, not only does Reza expose the spirit of
the Islamic religion but also helps Christians to understand Muslims. Consequently
this does lay his basis on why Muslims oppose the Gospel.
This he attributes to Satan as the author of Islam. The devil opposes the God of the
Bible, the Deity and death of Christ in the Koran and thus blinding Muslims not to
see the Gospel of light that Christ offers.
Reza moves on to give some reasons why Islam is growing in America. These
include; the flood of immigrants, the high birthrates within the Muslim families, the
conversion of African-Americans due to perceived injustices and segregation in
churches and the brotherhood, togetherness ,love and care that Islam seems to
offer are some of what makes it attractive.
In this case, the church seems powerless and Islam seems the opposite. Their new
converts who mostly do not look at its history but rather at what Islam is today
confirm this. For instance, Louis Farakhan, the late Malcom X becoming the voice of
Islam among the blacks is another factor that contributes to this conversion.

Particularly because it appeals as a way of revolt against police brutality, past and
current injustices perceived to be done toward their community. Yet all this is
nothing more or less than a satanic strategy to blind and enslave those who have
submitted to him in Islam.
This perception of Islam as a powerful tool to free oneself from oppression and
injustice is not unique to America. In Africa, so many young men are turning to
Islam as a way of revolting against the leadership and ruling class in the country.
Reza, does not leave his readers at that but provides them with practical ways on
how to free those who have been trapped in Islam. He starts by reminding the
reader that there is war in the spiritual realm. Because of this, the strong man who
has bound Muslims has to be bound too in order to free his captives.
Once this is done, Muslims need to be loved. Genuine love has to be not only
spoken about to Muslims but also shown to them by Christians. Their freedom has to
be proclaimed. The preaching of the Gospel is also the proclamation of the freedom
of the Muslims.
Since Jesus came to set the captives free, Christians are to share the Gospel with
Muslims and at the same time proclaim their freedom. This is to be done based on
the fact that Christians are ambassadors of Christ.
However, he cautions against arguments in witnessing to Muslims. He says that
although it is a good thing to prove a point, argumentation does not convict any
sinner. An argument can convince a Muslim but not convict him/her of sin.
Argumentation therefore, is a waste of time and sometimes can lead to hatred.
Even though, Muslims need to hear the Gospel Reza tells the reader to do it under
the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who convicts of sin and He can
do that to Muslims anywhere and at anytime and under whatever circumstances.
The Holy Spirit in this case helps Christians in witnessing to Muslims. Therefore any
theories and methods without the help and conviction of the Holy Spirit will yield
nothing.
The next level Reza moves to is emphasizing on the importance of the word.
Muslims need to listen to the word of God and not approaches. The word is the
seed and the Holy Spirit uses the word to convict Muslims.
Sharing the Gospel with Muslims also has to be accompanied with signs and
wonders. If God so wills He can do anything and he should not be limited. However,
this should not be expected miracles, every time.
Ultimately, Reza, draws another view that, Gods love is what conquers Muslims.
Once Muslims taste the love of God they want more and more of it and it becomes

difficult for them to let it go. That love become irresistible, so sweet and they love it
too.
The love of God is channeled to Muslims through our own hearts (Romans 5) and so
the Church is the place where Muslims should experience this love. The place or the
role of the Church is therefore very important in Gods plan.
To explain this, he classifies the world in three categories: The Jews, the Gentiles
and the Church. Hence he features the Church as a unique place among the three. It
is where Jews unite of Jews and Gentiles is made manifest. The Church then should
understand its role as a light to the nations and more so to the Muslims. He
encourages the church to be full of faith, bold, not to be intimidated by Satan and
his ministers.
In trying to understand Reza, he looks always at the world of Islam with an
inclination towards the Shiites and many of his life experiences are given in this
background. However, many of the things he shares can also be applied to the
Sunni Muslims. Even so, Militant Muslims are found in both sects of Islam. Although
by explanation he leans towards Iran, this can also apply to other Islamic countries.
Thus Muslims can be reached and saved all over, as it is evident that Muslims are
coming to Christ and he himself has been used by God to bring some to salvation.
This is a good book whose content is applicable in Africa. Islam is growing here too
and the church seems to be ignoring or alarmed but doing little towards reaching
out to Muslims. Unaware of the fact that, God loves them and is saving them for his
Kingdom.
