I am a skilled LVT with over 3 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic environment. Through
Cedar Valley College, I have earned my Associates in Veterinary Technology and I am currently working
on attaining a bachelors degree in Veterinary Technology through Tarleton State University. I have
experience with both large and small animals as well as with some exotics. Some of the tasks that I have
become proficient in include handling, drawing blood, running diagnostic tests, placing IV catheters, as
well as administering medications and vaccinations.
I understand that a large portion of my day will be spent communicating with clients, so I come prepared
with a calm and friendly demeanor and 10 years of experience in customer service. I am a team player, a

EDUCATION
I was an honors graduate from Ovilla Christian School in 2010. I received my certification as a Small
Animal Veterinary Assistant from Cedar Valley College in 2012. I also received my certification as a
Large Animal Veterinary Assistant from Cedar Valley College in 2014. I graduated from Cedar Valley
College as a member of Phi Theta Kappa and received an Associates in Veterinary Technology in 2014. I
am currently working on attaining a bachelors degree in veterinary technology and I am expected to
graduate from Tarleton State University in 2018.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Cedar Valley College (September 2010 May 2011): Office Assistant for the Presidential Suite
- I ran errands, filed documents, promptly answered phones, and cleaned and organized the office.
Shiloh Road Kennels (May 2011 February 2013): Kennel Technician
- I was the only employee during the busiest time of the year and helped my employer by
effectively managing and organizing the office, administering medications, grooming, cleaning
the facility, providing new clientele, answering phones, booking appointments, and educating
owners on how to use the pool for hydrotherapy.
Countryside Veterinary Clinic (February 2013- June 2016): Kennel Technician, Veterinary Assistant,
Veterinary Technician, LVT
- My responsibilities during this employment included: cleaning and maintaining kennels as well
as the entire facility, walking/feeding/watering all dogs, feeding/watering a variety of species
(including: cats, pigs, guinea pigs, rabbits, and exotic birds), bathing dogs/cats, assisting groomer
when restraint was needed, preforming lyme dips, administering medications and vaccinations,
assisting veterinarians with appointments and during surgeries, monitoring pets as they recovered
from anesthesia, placing IV catheters, monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients, collecting
blood/urine/fecal matter to run diagnostic tests, preforming dentals (on cats and dogs),
preforming radiographs, educating and effectively communicating with clients, preforming toe
nail trims (on cats, dogs, and guinea pigs), expressing anal glands, promptly answering phones,
and booking/confirming/checking in appointments.
Animal Dermatology Referral Clinic (June 2016 Present): LVT
- My responsibilities include ordering prescription diets from Hills and Royal Canin, ordering
medications and other clinic supplies, promptly answering phones, maintaining the front desk as
needed, administering intradermal allergy tests, administering injections, administering sedative

Sandi Benhams Barn and Kennel Technician (2006 2013)
- Mrs. Benham has given me the opportunity to work with her horses, donkeys, goats, cats, dogs,
and exotic birds. I helped her transform her facility by organizing and cleaning her barn, storage
room, and kennels.
Lancaster Animal Shelter (2012-2013)
- I helped by cleaning and maintaining the kennels and facilities. I also would feed, water, and
bathe/groom dogs, that were in need of it, as well as feed and water the cats. I also served as a
foster parent and helped raise and rehome kittens.

PowerPoint, and VIA.
- I have had training in running several diagnostic tests such as urinalysis, fecal floatations,
heartworm snap tests, direct smear microfilaricide tests, as well as blood chemistry and
hematology tests.
- I also have experience maintaining and operating Scil ABC hematology machine, Abaxis HM5,
Abaxis VetScan2, and Abaxis VetScan VSpro.
