We hope everyone had a GREAT summer!!!

Now that the weather is sort of cooling o it is time to get
riding again!!
There have been a few changes to Sarabande this summer:
After much torment we have decided to close down the River
Road location and focus only on the Ina location. It is bitter
sweet as the River location is where Sarabande began and it is
a special place for us full of memories. However with our baby
it was getting to be too dicult to manage both locations. We
have decided to focus all our energy and resources at one location
making the Ina location the best we can. We understand that this
decision means some of our beloved students are unable to make
the drive often to Ina. Hopefully those of you that this aects
can still come occasionally to our events and camps. We hope
that you still feel a part of Sarabande. There are a few riding
facilities that Betsy recommends in the River Road area. Please
contact her for more information.

Mini Me. She was a
wonderful pony that touched
many lives. She was old and
in pain. We loved her so
much so we made the
decision to let her rest.
She is now in pony heaven

teachers that have left their

We have a pay station at both barns with a sign in sheet. Please
sign in and mark your payment. If paying with cash or check leave
it in the cash box. If paying with a credit card at the barn please
use the square reader at the pay station. Make sure you mark your
payment in the book so your account can be credited.

What to wear for your Lesson ???

In order to perform
your best you must look
your best. Please come
to your riding lessons in
proper riding attire.
That is :
long pants - jeans
are fine for beginners
however when you
become more
advanced please
purchase jodhpurs or
breaches
We do have school
helmets but we
recommend
purchasing your own

closed toed shoestennis shoes are fine

for beginners but as
soon as you start to
trot for safety reasons
please get riding
boots. We like short
black paddock boots.

SOUTHERN ARIZONA ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION

SILVER BUCKLE HORSE SHOW
If you would like to come out and watch some beautiful Arabian horses please come out to
the Silver Buckle Horse Show. This is an A rated show with world class horses and lots of
dierent classes. There will be western classes, English, dressage, cutting with cattle, and
even the mounted native costume classes !!!
September 9th, 10th, and 11th
Show is Friday, Saturday and Sunday all day
Admission and parking is FREE
there are food vendors or you can bring your own
Betsy will be working the show and our Arabian Youth Club will have a both so come out
and enjoy some horses!!

TEAM 9:00AM TO 1:00 SATURDAYS

Team is an opportunity for anyone to come have some extra time at the barn. It is run
similar to a day of camp; we rotate barn chores, riding lessons and pony school. Its more
hands on with the horses and more time at the barn then weekday
lessons. The students learn a little more in depth about
horsemanship and horse ownership. They
do grooming, feeding, bathing, and

demonstrations. Most of all it is fun to
come and build friendships while enjoying
the horses here at the barn. Any Sarabande student can come and

Our Show O Show is a time for you to Show O to family and friends. It is a little
show that we put on here at Sarabande so there is no stress
about competing, just about looking good for your friends
and family. We do not compete within the academy. We
receive prizes for what each rider
did the best at and the judge

Please join us for our potluck party during the show. It is a great time to catch up with
all your Sarabande friends and with Betsy. Please bring something to share.

and used riding clothes and even show clothes : so please bring your old
clothes to exchange!!!!

PIMA COUNTY FAIR GROUNDS HORSE SHOW 8:00 AM TO 1:00PM

If you are ready to take your riding to the next level this is the perfect opportunity.
Southern Arizona Arabian Horse Association Horse Show is a wonderful introductory show
for first time riders and for new show parents. It is low key,
while still creating a fun competitive show atmosphere...
Cost of Showing is $175 for two
without the stress of a big show. If this is something you are

If you are showing, meet at the Pima County Fair Grounds
at 8:00am in your show clothes. We will help with your hair
and make up. Show starts at 9:00. There are some show
schedules in the Event Book. We are usually are done
around 12:00 or 1:00. Please bring water, snacks, family and friends. Meet at Sarabande stalls by
the arena. As soon as your child is done with their two classes they may leave. There are classes
for all levels. Everyone is invited to come and participate or at least cheer your barn-mates on!!
WHAT TO WEAR FOR THE SHOW
For these local shows you may wear your Sarabande Uniform: Riding pants / jeans, your
Sarabande Polo and riding boots. However we do encourage you to have show clothes which
diers according to what type of riding you will be showing hunt seat or saddleseat. For
more information on what to wear please get a flyer from the Event Book when you sign up
for the show ask Betsy, Kristi or Sedona. We will help you !

Southern Arizona Arabian Horse Association Youth Club

Betsy is the Youth Club Leader. We are trying to get it going.
We need youth members!!
The Southern Arizona Arabian Horse Youth Association has incredible
opportunities from competitions to conventions! Just some of the fun
activities we have planned include: equine educational opportunities,
fun rides, barn parties and even barn sleep overs with other horse-crazy
youth in our area! We have many more great activities with Arabian
horses. The best part is you do not have to own an Arabian or even a
horse at all to join our fun group!You can join and meet new two and
four-legged friends.

Summer Camp
We had so much Fun at Summer camp
this year!!! We had water fights, pony rides
with Popsicle and I think we learned a few
things about horses in there somewhere!!
Dont miss out on all the FUN next Year!!!

through June!

Have your Party at the Barn !!!

Imagine having your next party at your favorite place.
the barn!! We have a few dierent packages to chose from;
Rambling Ranch Party,
Cow Kid Party or Fairy Pony
Tea Party. You and your friends
can dress up the ponies for the
tea parties, have pony rides and
lots of fun ranch games. The
Pony Parties are all inclusive from
the party prizes to the food. All
you have to bring are the
presents. We can do parties
Saturday or Sunday starting in
September. So please schedule your party here with us. And
we do not stop with just the kids... we can have adult parties
here too. Cowgirls Tea Parties are great for baby showers
and wedding showers. We can also do Cowboy Cocktails
at the Barn, Camp Fire Cookouts and more.
Or you can rent the barn and put on your own private party.
