High Integration
Normally, the public LTE core network incorporates the Mobility Management Entity (MME), Serving Gateway (SGW), Packet Data
Network Gateway (PGW), and Home Subscriber Server (HSS) network elements. The eCNS600/eCNS210 integrates all of these elements
into only one subrack, allowing network deployment with minimal integration efforts, reduced risk, and faster time-to-market.

Miniaturization and High Integration
With a goal of building SME networks, Huawei has designed the highly-integrated eSCN230 by combining a Home Subscriber Server
(HSS), Serving Gateway (SGW), Mobility Management Entity (MME), and Packet Data Network Gateway (PDN-GW) into a 2U box. The
eSCN230 is only 2U in height and lightweight, providing exceptional flexibility for low-density subscriber area deployments.

Dual Backup for High Reliability


The eSCN230 supports dual backup operating mode to achieve high reliability. In dual backup mode, the two eSCN230s work in
load-balancing mode to transmit user data, retaining active sessions for all connected users, while minimizing user data loss through the
data plane traffic load-balancing feature. As a result, active connectivity maintenance increases system reliability.

Interconnection and Interoperability


The eSCN230 allows eLTE users to communicate with Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA), Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) , and
Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) users and other external systems via connection with intersystem gateways. Benefiting from a high
level of interoperability, organizations can build a unified communications system and perform voice and video services within the entire
system.

The Huawei eLTE (Enterprise LTE) solution customizes the Enterprise Core Network System (eCNS) for industries. The
Enterprise Core Network System 610 (eCNS610) is developed by Huawei as a mini-Evolved Packet Core (EPC) for
dedicated enterprise market. It provides high integration for small- or medium-sized enterprise wireless networks, and is
primarily used for broadband access markets.
Huawei eCNS610 integrates the functions of the following NEs: System Architecture Evolution Home Subscriber Server
(SAE-HSS), Mobility Management Entity (MME), Serving Gateway (S-GW), PDN Gateway (P-GW). It also integrates the
policy control functions of the Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF). The eCNS610 implements operations and
maintenance as a single NE.

The eLTE Rapid Deployment Broadband Trunking System (eLTE Rapid) integrates baseband processing, packet data
switching, and scheduling functions. It schedules and manages voice, data, and video services, as well as routes and
manages user data. With its small footprint, The eLTE Rapid increases network deployment flexibility and ensures that first
responders can communicate anytime, anywhere.

The eLTE Rapid is based on Huaweis world-leading LTE base station platform, which provides 320 Mbit/s maximum data throughput.
Taking into account vertical industry service needs, Huawei optimizes the base station design to provide the most modern trunking
services: group call setup time < 300 ms; pre-emptive call setup time < 150 ms. In addition to the voice trunking, ample data services
such as video, data acquisition, and Geographic Information System (GIS) services are built into the system as well. Just one eLTE Rapid
provides comprehensive on-site information in any situation, helping users to improve work efficiency and accelerate their response
speed.

High-level integration, wide coverage


The eLTE Rapid integrates baseband unit of base station and core network functions into a 2U-height. Under such conditions, one eLTE
Rapid Deployment System can cover an area up to 50 square km. For some special coverage conditions, one RRU can be connected with
an eLTE Rapid at a maximum distance of 10 kilometers, which gives significant coverage flexibility for different vertical industries.

Easy deployment, wide environmental adaptability


Due to the compact design of the eLTE Rapid, customers can quickly deploy the entire broadband trunking system, a very important
capability for emergency responses. Furthermore, the eLTE Rapid can be equipped inside vehicles to set up emergency communications
in accident locations or for mobile communications. The eLTE Rapid provides multiple frequencies, including 400 MHz/1.8 GHz, and
multiple bandwidths such as 5 MHz, 10 MHz, and 20 MHz, to help vertical industries to deploy networks more conveniently.

Huawei promotes an distributed base station DBS3900 for eLTE solution. The DBS3900 fully utilizes Huawei platform
resources and a variety of technologies to meet the challenges of mobile network development. Used for radio access in
an eLTE system and as an enterprise base station the product is installed in diverse scenarios that require precise Base
Transceiver Station (BTS) capabilities. The DBS3900 includes two types of basic modules, a Base Band Unit (BBU) and a
Remote Radio Unit (RRU), which can be flexibly configured to meet different usage requirements. In addition, the
DBS3900 features a small size, low power consumption, flexible installation, and easy site deployment.
